This is a bar after a Detroiters heart minus the Wings. Beer selection might not be good enough for Portlanders. The vibe is an older dive, with lots of black shirts. Older punks, biker types, goths, and jaded burners. Some yuppies, but not many hipsters from what I've seen.

Great place - you can be insider or especially outside is very nice. Great music (more rocky) and very friendly staff. Just a really cool place

Cash only. Super dive-y bar with plenty of out door seating. Large selection of beer on tap as well as bottled. Pool table off to the side, by the food counter, which serves burgers and homefries. Patio seating is plenty, with many umbrellas for shade.

This is a great place to go chill with some friends on a sunny day. It's festive with great beer and the way the outdoor section is configured, there's no wind so if they sun is out, it feel pretty warm. You can end up spending a ton of time there. My first year in SF, I held my birthday gathering here. There were tons of room for everyone to hangout and have a blast. Great for people watching and meeting! The one thing about this place that makes me not want to be a super fan is the fact that I can't eat anything here. I don't eat beef or pork and I hear they have an amazing burger.

My favorite bar in the city! Very friendly staff and great service. It can get very crowded during happy hour and on the weekends. Their tots are great, as are their veggie burgers, and tacos. Their spicy pickle backs are my absolute favorite! They often give free shots, and on my birthday they gave me a balloon and hostess cupcake! On Sunday nights, they have a paper airplane contest for whoever can fly their plane the farthest. It's a great place to have a good time, with a very spunky energy.

Some people I know call Zeitgeist the best bar in San Francisco. I'm not 100% sure yet, but I'll agree it's pretty great! The crowd here is pretty laid back, there's good beer, the well drinks are served in pint glasses, there's bar food and a pool table, and the backyard is pretty great. My only hesitation is that the bar gets pretty packed on weekends and I'm not a huge fan of crowds -- but if you're looking for fun, showing friends around the city, or want to meet some new people, Zeitgeist is a pretty good bet!

Came here on a team outing (a.k.a. day drinking) last week, where the lot of us proceeded to polish off a few pitchers of beer over the next few hours, while I was feeling rebellious and chose to nurse my double of rye instead. While the drinks are pretty standard - don't expect any fancy cocktails here, a la Rickhouse or Zero Zero - the space is pretty neat. There's the usual indoor part of a dive bar, with the pool table and video games, and there's this nice outdoor patio area, replete with picnic tables and benches. Unfortunately, not so much to my tastes, mostly due to me being more of the cocktail bar/lounge type, but partly since, not only was it too cold to be out in an area lacking heat lamps, but also because the patio was filled with smokers. But hey, if these don't bug you, or you're into the dive scene, Zeitgeist is probably worth checking out. ***Accessibility Info*** Venue - While the front door has a single step that's easy to get up with some help, they also do have an accessible side entrance. Once inside, you have to deal with your usual bar height counters, but they have ramps elsewhere to get you in and out of the patio, should you so choose. Bathroom - Accessible!

Zeitgeist hasn't shared anything with you.

People are more likely to share with you if you add them to your circles.
