Dont let fear, of anything, govern your decision to file bankruptcy

h/t +Cathy Moran
Most Debtors Drive Away After Bankruptcy

Seldom does someone filing bankruptcy lose a car that they really want to keep.  Between exemptions, the choice of bankruptcy chapters, and the economics of used cars, most debtors keep their wheels.

Law Firm Marketing

I know it's common to want to keep your marketing in house. +Vincent Messina wrote an article that seems to validate much of that sentiment.

Really though, I believe it is more a matter of who your hire, not so much that you hire outside marketing assistance.

Be Careful Who You Hire to Market Your Practice. Your Reputation Depends on It.

Anyone who follows me enough, particularly on Twitter, will see that I have a small man crush on a defense lawyer named Scott Greenfield.
The reasons for this are many, but one of them is the regular opportunity to witness, and then write about how NOT to behave online.

This dude named Patrick Zarrelli offers the latest installment in the saga that should be labeled..."Dont Mess With People Who Google Loves."

Anyway, Patrick didnt have the luxury of my warning, and neither did his client, Gary Ostrow. In short, Gary hired Patrick to help clean up Gary's online reputation.

In a series of blunders that could go down in the history of the internet as the biggest display of stupid you will ever see, Patrick not only made Gary's situation worse, he doubled down on the effort, and completely ruined his own reputation.

I wrote about it because it was a jaw dropper, but it also serves as a great example that just because someone says they are competent, does NOT mean they are in fact, competent.
