I have been going to Nye's for over 30 years. My favorite bar. Dana was on the piano the other night and she was great. Super musically and had an edge to her that I liked. Crowd is always enjoyable with mixed ages and a great place to hang out with sociable people. I like the long bar and also the piano bar. Sad to see Nye's is closing.

Good drinks. It feels like a 50's lounge stacked with plush leather everywhere. Drinks were pretty good. The live music must have had an off night.

I've gone here on Tuesday nights mostly for the piano bar, but the food is pretty good! They make a delicious walleye sandwich, and on my birthday I tried a piece of their carrot cake (which was amazing!). The staff is friendly and they've become a favorite destination for me in Minneapolis.

Fantastic service with great food.I travel extensively for work, so I appreciate good service (usually because it is hard to find), and I have to say Nye's ranked in the top 10 if not top 5 places in the US for quality of service. Great food & cocktails, and pleasant staff, what more could you want?

Super sketchy and I wouldn't want it any other way. The place reminded me of an old vegas buffet or maybe a TRUE dive bar. This isn't where hipsters go to instagram their way into online infamy. The guy next to me sat there for an hour drinking whiskey and reading a newspaper and then dropped 10 dollars on the table and left. This place knows what it is, doesn't deviate from it and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Used to absolutely love the place back in my college days. So sad to hear it's closing.

I've lived in the metro area for over 20 years and have always wanted to go to this place. When it was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives that sealed the deal. I had to check this place out. It was officially on my "Twin Cities bucket list." As luck would have it, my wife surprised me a couple weeks ago and took me there for a night out. It was everything I had hoped it would be. It had the old-school supper club feel. It was awesome. The food and service was good too. We had the cheese & potato peirogi for an app (which were delicious) and I had the prime rib dip (also delicious). My wife had the chicken and garlic mashed potatoes, which she said was very good. I had a bite too and it was great. After dinner we went over to the bar and watched the polka band for a while and had some drinks. The music was great and the drinks were potent:) I love bars that know how to serve a strong drink. If you're not accustomed to having a stiff cocktail, you may want to consider ordering a beer. I like to blow fire when I drink my vodka so their drinks were perfect:) All-in-all this place is everything they say it is. I'm glad I can mark this off the bucket list and I'll definitely come back again - and hopefully soon.

SO MUCH POLISH FOOD. Sauerkraut, sausage, dumplings, stuffed cabbage- you name it they had it! I ate way too much but there were large enough portions to share with a group. It was not the best polish food I have had but it was pretty good. I think the variety and large portions were definitely an attraction. We sat at a long table in the back room and the service was great. It was a really fun environment with a large group! Polka music was playing in the background but it wasn't too loud at all! If you are looking for a polish place and you are visiting MN, definitely go here!
