I don't necessarily get many comments on my writing, which sometimes leads me to doubt myself; but every once in awhile, I get one that reminds me why I keep trying:

"...damn Fernando, one of the BEST short stories I have EVER read. and i've read a lot. possibly THE best! I was right there, in the story, every moment. i felt relief when we sat in the windowsill and had our own party."
