Salami, prosciutto, mortadella, porchetta, Italians sure love their pork. And here's another great reason to visit Italy in November.

Wow, what an amazing experience. I have to admit that I never was a huge fan of italian cuisine but this changed during our food tour. The quality and taste of all meals/snacks was really outstanding and not comparable to the standard "tourist restaurants". You learn a lot about where to eat and drink in Rome, too. Highly recommended!

Hi Sebastian, thank you so much for your review. We're delighted you enjoyed the experience, and that we even helped change your mind a bit about Italian food! Hope to see you again sometime - we're in London, Amsterdam and Prague, as well as Rome and Florence in Italy. Anyway, thanks again, we really appreciate any feedback :) - Chris from Eating Europe Food Tours

We had a really good tour guide and the experience was fun. Don't get me wrong this is a good food tour for beginners. If you've just landed there'll be a few helpful tips on how to say thank you in Italian and the difference between a few Italian cheeses. My main quip is with the price tag, €90 is way too much for the food provided.

Hi Jonathan, I'm really sorry if you feel we didn't deliver on value - I'm glad you liked the tour and guide though. We're always looking to do better, and we have improved our pricing recently, so please do check us out again or just write to us about what you'd like to see changed about the tour http://www.eatingeuropetours.com/contact. What a great experience this tour was. I took the “Twilight Trastevere” food tour and all expectations I had were exceeded. From start to finish, the company was organized and our tour guide ensured the group was taken care of. At each food stop, we were given a good serving size to try the many different food and drinks. Each food was delicious and felt like authentic Italian cuisine -- although I could hardly finish my food by the end of the tour I was so full! Being in a small group made it easy to get around and ensured no one got lost or left out. Even the staff at the restaurants were friendly, something not easy to come by in the tourist-filled Rome. The best part was being able to ask our tour guide, a resident of Rome for +10 years, any questions we had. I loved one of the restaurants so much I even came back the next day. Book a food tour to eat incredible Italian food and learn a little bit about the city of Rome along the way.

Had a lovely time with Anna on our tour. Loved the artichoke. Did not like the wine cellar in the basement..had quite a musty smell! Did not like the pasta at all!! We all loved the pharmacy!! It was quite wonderful to see. The gelato was great and learning about the differences was a good thing! Overall it was nice but was expecting a little more in the food! Loved walking the neighborhoods and our tour guide was quite good and knowledgeable.

You might think that this is expensive, but it is well worth the extra knowledge, stories and access. If I had to be in Rome for just one day, I would do another tour. Our guide, Eric was excellent. He said you could get a discount of 5% or 10% (I forget) if you put his name "Eric" in the web purchasing page.
Response from the owner - 4 months ago
Hi Charles, thank you for your kind words - it's lovely to know you'd do another tour if you could! And thanks for recognizing the value you get from our efforts (so much more than just the food!). All the best -- Chris from Eating Europe Food Tours

We enjoyed a food tour in Testacchio with Arthur Moll. He was outstanding! Exceeded our expectations. He has a wealth of knowledge about the local food of Testacchio and history of Rome. He made sure that we has plenty of water and comfort during our tour which turned out to be almost 5 hours! We had our 7 year old son with us, and Arturo was so good with him, he genuinely enjoyed him being with us on the tour. The food was delicious from the cheeses, to the pasta, supli, bruschetta, fried veggies, pizza, cake, and gelato - just to name a few. We highly recommend this tour and make sure you take it with Arturo because he will make the experience that much better! Thanks again Arturo, we loved it...Amy, Paul and Eli

I cannot rave enough about this experience. The tastings, the locations, the variety, and tour guide. Everything was awesome. We had Rogelio and he was so funny and knowledgeable. He was a great guy to hang out with, it wouldn't have been the same without him. I'll be booking another tour for Amsterdam for when we head there later this month!

Absolutely fantastic! This is a "must do" experience. Our tour guide, Anna, was terrific, providing a great deal of info on the culture and history of the area. The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was truly Roman! We experienced some hidden cultural treasures that we would have otherwise missed. The time flew by. Truly a bargain given the experience and memories.
