It's unfortunate that PayPal caves to governments and PC so willingly. They do not make an effort to be neutral on their role as premier online payment mechanism...
But, even if one accepts that PayPal prefers to dissociate their Brand from porn, gambling and intellectual property theft, the grouping of VPN with these realms is shocking. It arises from either poor technical advice or inexcusable arrogance. This is an example of behavior that ignites grassroots boycotts.
VPN and torrents are basic and indispensable tools of any medium or large enterprise. They are built into processes for online meetings, software updates, voting, and trade secrecy. How on earth can PayPal justify cutting off VPN services. Does this once great Internet pioneer have Wall St suits and Luddites at the healm?
