I moved to Stonefield in June 2014 and, despite a few small hiccups at move-in (which were promptly addressed!), have had a wonderful experience living here! The staff in the leasing office has always been extremely helpful and accommodating, whenever I have a question or need to put in a maintenance request. The maintenance staff is super awesome and friendly. Mike has stopped by several times to assist with small maintenance (always timely with the maintenance requests!). The location is also fantastic. I love being able to hop right on over to Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and the Shops at Stonefield. It's very conveniently located off of the highway, which makes travel very easy. There's also a calendar that they send out each month, with resident events. I haven't attended any as of yet (busy schedule), but I absolutely love the gesture. Hopefully I'll be able to make it out to one of the events soon! Overall, I would definitely recommend this place!

I must concur with the majority of reviewers of Stonefield Commons. We have witnessed the trash piling up at the compactor. We have witnessed the arrival of a portable dumpster when the compactor broke and then trash piling up beside that dumpster because it wasn't emptied in a timely manner, creating a safety and health hazard. The elevator broke about 2 to 3 times per month. The back security door of building 2 rarely worked. I have a photo of black electrical tape placed on it by maintenance preventing it from closing properly because they could not figure out how to repair it. On one occasion maintenance accessed the roof in the hallway in front of our 4th floor apartment. They left a mess of insulation in the hallway that took me 3 weeks of emailing, calling and going by the main office to have it cleaned. The final straw was when we moved out. We were sent a final bill over $200. After my wife contested it, it turned out they owed us $50; they had charged us double for cleaning the apartment, charged us an estimated water bill that was double the normal monthly amount, and charged us for paper statements when we received electronic statements and did automatic bill pay for rent. When I turned in the apartment keys and 'security' fobs at the end of August, the manager was not able give me a receipt for them, there was no process for that, so she just didn't give me anything to verify I had turned in the keys. There was no effort made to create an email or text list to inform residents what was happening regarding all the issues. Management would occasionally place hard copy notes in our doors. This has turned into a long rant, but Stonefield Commons is terrible. The only thing management is interested in is getting you to sign the lease, after that they could not care less.

Terrible place. The manager is argumentative, disrespectful, and refuses to show even the smallest amount of common courtesy to the tenants. There is only one trash compactor for the entire complex and it just isn't enough. During the weekends it is not uncommon for trash to start piling up. The grounds are full of dog poop. The call boxes at the front doors are all broken with no plans of fixing them. RUN AWAY! This is NOT luxury living.

Do not live here if you have any choice. The grounds are always dirty (dog feces are everywhere) and if something breaks, which happens often, it takes forever to get it fixed. The buildings are very poorly constructed. The walls are paper thin, so you can hear your neighbors conversations, radios, and general movements. Something as simple as a neighbor closing a door shakes the whole apartment. The staff in the office do not do anything about complaints and are very rude and dismissive. Staff has turned over several times since I moved in, so the management company is aware of the problem, but there has been no improvement yet. Do yourself a favor and rent somewhere else.

So far, I have LOVED living at Stonefield. I can't believe they have gotten such bad reviews. Everyone in the office has been really nice and accomodating. There is an event calendar every month with food tastings from the restaurants in the Shops at Stonefield! I love that they do a pancake breakfast every month, too. I have noticed maintenance cleaning up dog poop because there is a lot...but it's not their fault people don't clean up after their dogs! And its not like they don't do anything about it bc not only does maintenance clean it up, but they reminded people in a newsletter to clean up after their pets and that if they don't, they could be fined. The trash compactor did get really bad at one point but ever since then, there hasn't been a problem. They also sent a newsletter about that with better instructions on how to use it and offered to help show anybody who needed help, which I thought was really nice. The elevator in my building has never had a problem since I've lived here (going on a year), and whenever there is an issue with the door, it gets fixed! What more can you ask for? As far as the ammenities, the clubhouse and pool are beautiful, they have free wifi and cable tv, the fitness center is well kept and never crowded and the equipment is really nice. I love that it's open 24 hours bc its so convenient for my crazy work schedule. Ever since the new management company took over, things have noticeably gotten better. The old management was horrible. All they cared about was getting drunk with the residents. The new staff is so nice and always willing to help me whenever I talk to them. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they just took over and changes are happening slowly, but it has gotten a lot better! I can understand things break or need repaired, but maybe they could work on being proactive vs. reactive...? Either way, I can't wait to see how things will be a year from now. I recommend Stonefield to everybody.

I've been living in this community for 5 months and in this timeframe, the quality of both property management and all the amenities have taken a horrible turn for the worst. The new property management company is useless and lazy. If you need to get a hold of someone via phone or email, it won't happen. For us that work, showing up in the office is difficult and by the time you are able to get to the office, your frustration level is so high it's probably not the best time to discuss the many disappointing issues that continue to arise. As pointed out in a previous review regarding dog feces... Most tenants pick up after their pets, however on occasion there has been pet "accidents" inside the building in which the owner did not pick up but even more alarming, is that the property management decided to go ahead and leave the mess as well. The administrative staff is extremely rude. They consider this a luxury community, but the quality has gone downhill so drastically in just my time here. The "resort style" pool is a joke. Yes, the pool area itself is nicely setup, but the pool is not maintained properly and is almost always dirty. As a former lifeguard, a pool should be maintained daily. This pool is lucky to see any maintenance monthly... When I moved in (under the initial property management company) we were treated to pancake breakfast on Saturday mornings and "wine down" Thursdays each week. They went above and beyond to create the luxury living they promoted. Under the new management, all of this has gone away. This is not to even touch how dirty the entire place is becoming. It's a complete shame as this property is a nice property, but only because it's so new. At this rate, it won't be long before it completely falls apart.

Just moved in. Area is awesome with plenty to do within walking distance. One of these stars are solely the fact that it's within walking distance of Trader Joe's. There's free coffee (really good coffee) that comes out of $1000 coffee makers in the common area. Everything is pretty, but then again, it's new. Hopefully it's kept up. Will report back in a year.
