I like the idea that its such an old bar in Manhattan. Nice ambience and space. Food was good however one of my guests did find a rubber gloves in the salad. That was a first. Lol.

Staff was great! Service was Excellent. Our waiter gave us great guidance on the menu and most everyone was pleased with their meal. That is except for me. I had the pork chops and when they arrived at the table everyone was jealous. But quickly we found that they were overdone and you just can't over cook pork. However, they were basically saved by the amazing wine reduction sauce that went with them. Outstanding!

Fun spot. Nice wooden bar, good lighting, drinks are reasonably priced for New York. Food is a tad expensive.

Great place! We were meeting family here and arrived at about 6:15 on a Saturday night. We were not sure if we had reservations and did not recognize the name of the reservation that was upstairs. They set a table for us downstairs before we realized that the group upstairs knew members of our family and we were joining them. They were very understanding and accommodating and added about 10 people to the upstairs reservation! And to top it all off the food was GREAT! Thank you!!

The original "oldie but goodie", this Gramercy landmark was a "speakeasy during prohibition" and a favorite haunt of O. Henry's; it's "noisy and boisterous" at the "always-crowded" bar but "pleasant" in the back rooms, servers "work their butts off", and while "burgers and beer are their forte", many go "as much for the nostalgia" as the pub grub.

Great good, great service! It can get crowded and noisy but for me it's not a problem at all!
