Showcase You and Your Creative Ideas!
The mining industry needs your innovation.
Move Mining is a team competition open to students and professionals. The goal is to develop a positive message campaign to promote mining and the mining efforts worldwide. This inaugural competition will be held at the February 2017 SME Annual Conference & Expo in Denver, Colorado.
Help us share the positive message of mining and the global benefits of this crucial industry. Bring your dynamic concepts and your creative innovation. The top five teams will be selected to pitch their idea, live, at the SME Annual Conference & Expo to a panel of industry leaders and communication experts.
The winners will receive a $5,000 cash prize and support from SME and sponsoring organizations to help promote and package your winning concept.

Be sure to stop by the SME Booth #L-32 in the Grand Lobby of the Las Vegas Convention Center during the September 26-28 MINExpo. SME staff will be eager to answer any questions you may have about meetings, programs, Divisions, Sections, Student Chapters, the SME Foundation, or just directions to the snack bar. Membership forms will be available for you to share with colleagues who may not already be members of the Society.

The 2016 MINExpo International, hosted by the National Mining Association, has filled more than 840,000 sq. ft. of 12 indoor and outdoor halls with exhibits and booths featuring more than 1,800 companies. More than 55,000 people attended the 2012 MINExpo, and the 2016 event is expected to exceed that record number. For more information on #MINExpo, visit www.minexpo.com.
