I came for Restaurant Week. -They forgot our coffee. -Our tablecloths weren't cleaned like at other Michelin restaurants (Eleven Madison Park, Gotham Bar & Grill) -Not up to par for a Michelin restaurant -Insalata was okay. I didn't see any hen of mushroom and the manchego cheese was bland & plain (1.5/5) -Zuppa di Zucca was awesome. Fairly thick and creamy butternut squash soup made me want to keep scooping for more (4.5/5) -Razza tasted like a bland tilapia. Mix the beluga lentils with the skate to balance out the salty port wine jus. (2/5) -Tagliatelle was actually better than I had anticipated. The wide pasta was cooked just right. No protein with this dish though (3/5) -Gamba di Pollo was the best entree of the three. The pan roasted chicken was tender, juicy and flavorful. It's a comforting type of feeling with each bite and chew. (4/5) -Torta di Olio had a soft pound cake texture. The cake was light and had a mild flavor. Pair this with a bite of the Budino and you've got the perfect combination. (3/5) -Budino di Cioccolato was decadent, slightly bitter and rich. The crumbles were the best part of the dessert. Pair this dish with the Torta di Olio and you've got a nice balance of rich and light. (4/5)

I had great hopes for Ai Fiori, as I am very fond of Marea. However, my experience was very mixed. The service was exceptional, but many of our dishes (the branzino & the salad were misses), the black ink pasta was exceptional. My suggestion is to eat at the bar and only try a couple things.

the impeccable service at ai fiori was matched by its well appointed dining room and staff. business lunch fell a bit short on flavour and variety, and the coffee was just bitter (so pass on it) I would consider coming back for dinner (and not a lunch prix fixe) to see if the food quality matches up to the service when all the cards are on the table.

This restaurant has one Michelin star and the food is on par. Oh, it rhymes. But as with most fine dining, the portions are small (I think about 7 tortellini came in an order), and the service is good. The tortellini were very tasty, and the flatware and plates are beautiful. But it wasn't one of those places where I see the need to return.

Everything about this experience was spot on. The restaurant is tucked on the second floor, a spot you could easily walk by if you did not know it was there. Service was perfect - attentive, genuine, yet not stuffy. The Insalata di Astice - Nova Scotia lobster, charred corn salad, and ricotta salata - was solid. Also suggest the Pansotti di Anatra, which was duck confit parcels, romanesco, parmesan, and lemon.

Beautiful restaurant with an Italian menu featuring really fresh ingredients (the long island fluke crudo with caviar is my favorite!) and mouth watering pastas that I cannot wait to go back to visit. Service is attentive without being stuffy, and their cocktail and wine program is extensive to suit all tastes.
