I was pretty impressed with this hotel. It's right up next to the beach and pretty close to a lot of cool places. I can't wait to go back and get some Fractured Prune too.

We LOVED our stay! Had to be moved from 2nd floor to 8th floor, we requested a high floor, 2nd gives you a view of fat ladies in tight swimming suits at the pool - so, the next day they moved us. A beautiful corner room, a bit pricey but I would say worth it. Thanks for treating us so nicely Hilton! Will be coming back. We usually go to the dunes, 3 buildings down, but don't regret trying the Hilton one but. :) And can I say: JACUZZI! Shower with three shower heads!!!! WOO!!! Views of the ocean, the south and the west. We even saw the moon rover launch clearly from our room!!!

We stayed at the Hilton for one night in October 2013 when attending a wedding in Ocean City. It was the nicest (ie, most expensive) hotel that I was able to find on short notice, and it met our needs for one night. Pros: clean, suite style, very roomy accommodations, pleasant staff, easy parking, small Starbucks off the lobby Cons: onsite restaurant was not very good

My wife and I have been coming from Pennsylvania to the Hilton with our 4 kids every summer for several years. Except for our first visit, when we did not know about it, we have always stayed at the Terrace Suite, a corner room with wraparound balcony and outdoor, balcony jacuzzi overlooking the beach. In March, my wife spoke directly over the phone with a hotel agent at the site and booked what we thought was the Terrace Suite. Booking the reservation took a long time because, at the time she called, there were very few openings available. In fact, there was only one room available and only in a specific week in August, among the several weeks we were able to go over the summer. My wife booked the suite and clearly confirmed with the agent that it was "the corner suite with the hottub outside." On the day of arrival, when we tried to check in at the main desk at 330 pm, we were told that our room was not ready, despite the fact that check-in time starts at 3 pm. When our room was finally ready, it turned out that it was a corner room with a small indoor, bedroom hot tub, clearly not the room we had wanted or thought we had booked. While the hot tub in the Terrace Suite is an actual large jacuzzi which can accommodate a family, even one as large as ours with six members, the in-room hot tub is basically just a small tub with jets, the kind of hot tub you typically find in people's home bathrooms, similar to one we ourselves have in our home. Part of the fun we have when we come to the Hilton is having our entire family enjoy the large outdoor jacuzzi together in the privacy of our own balcony. We were all seriously let down. The terrace suite costs only $100-150 more per night than the regular suite, a cost we don't mind, considering that we are already paying at least $500 a night for our room. I don't think we would have come had we known that the suite with the outdoor jacuzzi was not available. We would certainly not have booked the corner room with indoor hot tub (whose price runs higher than the non-corner rooms) because, for the higher price, it does not add much value to us. The corner room hot tub is just the same small hot tub every regular room at the Hilton has; it is just located in the bedroom instead of in the bathroom. While the view from the Terrace Suite with outdoor jacuzzi is an oceanfront view with a view of the beach and ocean, the view from the corner bedroom hot tub is of the adjacent building, certainly not something worth the extra expense. For the late check-in, we were offered a free cable movie rental and a coupon for a 20% discount at the hotel's 32 Palm restauraunt. For the "miscommunication" about the room (the staff members were very careful to not admit that a mistake had been made; although they were polite, they basically said that it had been our responsibility to check our confirmation for any errors; essentially the fault was ours), nothing was offered. It was only after my wife specifically asked for compensation that we were offered $50 off per night. This came reluctantly. To add to injury, the WIFI service in our room, which comes free with your stay at the hotel, was very weak and unreliable., a big problem since our kids enjoy using the IPAD when in their rooms. When we told the manager, he did try to fix the problem but said that he had never had such a complaint before, even when I told him that the guy sent up to investigate the problem had said that the corner rooms have occasionally had signal problems. We are not sure if we will continue to come back, which is such a shame since our kids have enjoyed their stay before.

Hilton Ocean City Oceanfront Suites checks off all the boxes for a nice stay. They have the beach out the front door, pool, hot tub, WiFi and a (very small) gym. Don't expect anything posh or anything special, but they have what you need plus free fruit at the check-in counter.
