Honestly, I don't know how this place is rated so high. Obviously if you've read reviews you know it is over priced, but we are talking about a ridiculous charge for what you get. Serving sizes are small, tastes are bland, and you can't really just walk in. We tried that and were told they recommend having a reservation, but they have happen to have room for us... the parking lot was nearly empty! Admittedly, the atmosphere is cool, and kinda romantic. But then they ruin it with cheesy gimmicks, like doing a flambe with your fondue. After your meal you get this stupid game to see if you win a coupon for your next meal; as if they know they are a one time dinning experience. They give you cooking times for meat but give you know way to time it. They have this huge wine room, in the dining room, with glass walls to show off a wine collection that is only reasonable for a wine bar. The Melting Pot needs to come down a few pegs, they need to stop trying to be a Michelin star restaurant, and review the local demographic. They are not in a rich part of town, the Fox Cities are primarily middle class, and honestly, if I were rich, I would not waste my money on this wannabe restaurant anyway. They price like they have Gordon Ramsay as their head chef... that does nothing but cut veggies and meat... All this said, it is kind of a cool experience if you 70 bucks to throw away, but you're not likely to return again. It's basically an over priced novelty restaurant with food that doesn't merit the charge.

My first time there for my Birthday. The staff were great, the GM table touched us a couple times and once with a free app. when I come back. Food was awesome, and our server was top notch. Prices are equal to value and table time. Decor and ambiance were great. Thanks! We'll be back for sure.

What a horrid miserable place to go, not only are their prices outrageous their waitstaff has a combined IQ of 17. By far the most appalling detail about our experience there was THEM CALLING US LATER TO "SUGGEST" WE MAKE A BIGGER TIP! We left $25 total which is about $24.95 more than our waitress deserved. If we had wanted 3 glasses of melty half soda half ice drinks then sure not a problem. If we wanted horrible overpriced food that tasted like old leftovers from the back of the fridge that we shouuuuld throw away but didn't not a problem. But no we walked in expecting a delightful experience for the birthday event we were attending, sadly that came no where near the realm of possibility. Save your money, save your time, save yourself the embarrassment of being seen in such a pedantic place.

Overpriced bad food, the wait staff are inattentive and the decor is horrible and dirty. They use poor lighting to hide the dirtiness. Expect to pay $60+ per person.

disgusting food. if i wanted just boiled meats and vegetables, i could have done that at home. the meat smells, even when it is cooked and tastes like something people in 3rd world countries scavenge. our bill came up to about $75 and it wasn't worth a damn penny. DO NOT GO HERE. This place sucks and I'm sure you would be driving to the taco bell nearby to get the dingy meat taste off your tongue
