Wishing #teamdriepoot all the best on stage 5 of the #CapeEpic today. Having clocked a 7 hour finish yesterday, Reuben Van Niekerk & Kevin Rodney Benkenstein are in a position to chase that 400 slot!

Go for it guys!

What better way to celebrate Human Rights Day*

While #teamdriepoot's Reuben Van Niekerk & Kevin Rodney Benkenstein were conquering a tough stage one at the ABSA Cape Epic, our Western Cape Jumping Kids champ received his new walking and running equipment at #MichaelNelProsthetics assisted by none other than Team South Africa Paralympic legend Fanie Van Der Merwe!

Looking great #PaulDaniels - can't wait to catch up with you at the SASAPD (South African Sports Association for Physically Disabled) National Champs!

Look who visited Jumping Kids this week! Tshepo Rasebeka was born with a congenital condition resulting in the amputation of both his legs when he was only a few months old. Thanks to Avis Southern Africa he was fitted with his first #JumpingKidsSA solution in August 2016. Since then, Tshepo has developed into an active, confident youngster.

Regular maintenance of components is an essential part of the process and we are happy to report that Tshepo is thrilled with his new super-hero themed legs.

Avis is one of the main sponsors of #teamdriepoot (Reuben Van Niekerk & Kevin Rodney Benkenstein) that will take on the ABSA Cape Epic this Sunday to raise funds for Jumping Kids to assist more children living with lower limb amputations*

Meet Lesego Mela. Lesego became part of our Jumping Kids family in 2016. She is a learner at Sunward Christian Academy, a mainstream school, who enjoys dancing, swimming and netball. A good support system is as vital as the correct prosthetic equipment to make sure kids living with amputations get every opportunity to live active, healthy lives while they work towards their dreams and goals*

Meet four year old Siyathokoza Msimango from Newcastle. Siyathokoza has been part of our Jumping Kids program for the last two years and attends a mainstream pre-school. She was walking within one day of being fitted with her first prosthetic solution and continues to be a very active young lady. So lovely to catch up with her when she visited us for a follow-up consultation - a necessary process to ensure her prosthetic components are adjusted and maintained as she grows and develops*
