I managed to get a bunch of other loads started for the baggage carts today - my aim was to make a “peacetime” and “wartime” load for each cart (veggies fresh from the fields/hay/casks of alcohol versus weapons/helmets/shields) but I’ve already surpassed that for one of the two-wheel carts, but I suppose the loads could potentially fit on a market stall (another idea buzzing around) or as a stand-alone piece of terrain/objective.

Somehow this awesome Odin from Footsore Miniatures slipped my attention - I’d just ordered some of the lovely new Viking Jarls too! Had to go back and add some other items to my basket...

Tonight’s task - repairing a bunch of Dark Age carts that have been rattling around my wargames area for a few months - fixing broken lasercut MDF is a pain to say the least. Luckily I had the first 6 episodes of the latest season of Vikings on in the background to keep me in the period :) next up is sorting out some bases for them to be pulled by oxen and various different inserts so I can change the loads from spoils of war to hay/veggies so they can be dressing for my village or a supply convoy as needed. What is everyone else on with?

Zomtober (and October!) Round-up
As usual, here's the round-up of my figures completed for Zomtober 2015...and less than usual, a round-up of my figures completed in the full month! I may try and keep this as a monthly post at the start of every new month, showing the figures I've complete...

Feral Ghoul Reavers and Glowing Ones
I finished these rad-ghouls (radiation zombies from the Fallout post-apocalyptic universe) some time last year - I built them during October but didn't finish painting them until December. The armoured ones are "Reavers", a tougher and higher damage-dealing...

Cheap Bugs!
I saw these on a blog last year and loved the idea - I've used toys amongst my wargames stuff in the past and with a bit of work they can look great. These are from a set which was sold in Poundland in the UK. The set contained ants, flies, maggots and spid...

Zomtober - Making up for lost time.
More completed figures for Zomtober 2015 - huzzah! I actually worked on a bunch of different things today, including basecoating some additional survivors, sorting out some boars for Frostgrave and extra movement bases for Lion Rampant and the like, but the...
