Found throughout the eastern and coastal regions of Australia, koalas survive on a diet of eucalyptus leaves. With strong limbs, sharp claws and opposable thumbs, koalas are well adapted to climbing. These marsupials are nocturnal, and spend most of the day sleeping in the crooks of trees. During the night, koalas climb high into the trees to eat several pounds of eucalyptus leaves. Weighing less than an ounce at birth, a koala finds its way into its mother’s protective pouch, where it stays for up to seven months. Dependent on their eucalyptus trees, koalas are highly susceptible to habitat loss.

Celebrate National Watermelon Day with these juicy specials.

Coco Cooler
"This cocktail is a riff on one of my favorite cold-pressed juices: a light-pink, super-hydrating concoction called Aloe Vera Wang," says San Diego bartender Lindsay Nader.

How to Make It ?
In a cocktail shaker, combine the watermelon juice, coconut water, vodka, Zucca, lime juice and Simple Syrup. Fill the shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a chilled, ice-filled collins glass. Stir in the club soda and garnish with the watermelon spear.

Sandia Smash
Fresh watermelon is one of the most appealing cocktail ingredients. In this refreshing variation of the caipirinha, it is both muddled and used for garnish.

How to Make It ?
In a cocktail shaker, muddle the 3 watermelon chunks. Add ice and the lime juice, agave nectar, St-Germain and blanco tequila and shake well. Fine-strain into a chilled, ice-filled collins glass and garnish the drink with the skewered watermelon chunks.

Watermelon Sangria
Sangria, a Spanish variation on traditional punch composed of wine, fruit and brandy, was formally introduced to America at the 1964 World’s Fair in New York City.

How to Make It ?
In a blender, puree the watermelon cubes. Pour through a fine strainer into a pitcher. Add the white wine, vodka, Cointreau and Citrus Syrup. Stir and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Stir again, then pour the sangria into ice-filled white wine glasses and garnish with the skewered watermelon balls.

Most people use term "peacock" to describe both male and female birds, but peacock is actually a name that refers to male peafowl. Peafowl belong to pheasant family. These birds are native to Asia. There are two species of peafowl: Indian Peafowl and Green Peafowl. Both types are endangered because of the habitat loss, smuggling and predation.
