Wood-fired, thin-crust pizzas & other Italian standards at a swanky eatery with a lively bar scene.- Google
"...a vanilla soft serve ice cream with bread pudding, olive oil and sea salt..."
"Top notch thin crust pizza."

i'm not a fan of pizza, but i love zero zero's pizzas! my favorites are the columbus and geary. don't stuff yourself too much and save room for dessert!! their building your own soft serve is ah-ma-zing. the wait here can get crazy long, but you can hang out at the bar downstairs.

The food is phenomenal. Didn't have the pizza, but the spring vegetable salad, hamachi crudo, and roasted cauliflower were all delicious. Simple ingredients, paired thoughtfully and well. Yum!

I met a friend here after work... the place had a good crowd but wasn't packed. We sat upstairs and our waitress was pretty attentive. We split a few things, a bruschetta (can't remember which), the spring salad from farmer's market, and the fillmore pizza. The bruschetta was delicious, the salad as well. A bit heavily dressed on the salad, I would have ordered the dressing on the side, but it was quite tasty. The pizza was excellent, though I basically love anything with mushrooms on it. Overall, definitely more of a gourmet pizza place than a casual one, but the food is tasty and the service good. I'll definitely be back.

Really good pasta!! Much easier to make a reservation otherwise wait is really long. Bar seating usually frees up pretty quickly too!

I was very disappointed in the quality of the food received when you weigh it against the pricing. The drinks were probably the best thing I had. Actually the favorite of the brunch was the bottled peach soda they offered - charged $4 a bottle where I was able to find it for $1 a bottle at Whole Foods. But that aside let's get to the food... We started with the aranchinis. They were extremely small, dry, and bland on the inside. They served it on top of a bed of this heavy gravy like sauce that didn't Compliment the dish at all - if it makes sense it pretty much contradicted it. Then we had the "Geary" and "Castro" pies. Both were great but they were so thin and small it barely fed 2 people per a pie. We also ordered the chicken and waffles - I actually have to say this dish was probably the best entree we ordered. We also ordered the fried duck dish but the kitchen forgot about this order. So being patient till the end of our meal we were offered either to cancel it or have them try to get it out quickly. I passed and decided to cancel - who wants a QUICKLY cooked duck? Now for the service. First of all - a 4% SF fee? That is just going to make me deduct 4% straight from the tip. Second, the service was pretty bad. We had to wait for water for 15 minutes - asked about 3 times. The food all took a long time despite the restaurant being almost empty. I am pretty disappointed by the 4/5 star rating this establishment has. But hey! Yelp has the right to delete and forge reviews now right? Makes sense I guess.

The environment has an upscale feel about without being too snobby. However, I came for the pizza, and mainly for the thin crust Margarita pizza. This was an excellent pizza with the combination of quality ingredients in the proper proportions, simplicity doesn't get any better elevated in a traditional fashion. I enjoyed our starter which captured my curiosity and tantalized my taste buds, very good! I will be revisiting this kitchen with anticipation for increasing my familiarity with the delicious food as well as the cocktail menu.

Needing to make a last minute birthday dinner reservation for a friend, I called Zero Zero when they opened and asked the reserve a table for 7 for the next night. The hostess on the phone was very friendly and made my reservations right away. When my party arrived on time, the table wasn't ready yet and we were told to wait for about 5 minutes. Once we were seated, our party decided to eat family-style. We ordered fried bussel sprouts, Castro Pizza, Rigatoni with slowed cooked duck, and several other items that I forgot about. Then we made the great discovery that Zero Zero offers punch bowls! I forgot the exact name of what we ordered, but I do remember choosing it because it was the fruitiest one offered. Our punch bowl came out first with little glass teacups for everyone. Just like the description of the punch bowl, the drink was fruity and delicious. Everything I ate was good, but to be honest I was already tipsy by the time the food came out. However, I do remember one standout dish. The Rigatoni with slowed cooked duck was absolutely phenomenal. The duck just melted in your mouth. The whole dish was heavenly. I secretly ordered a dessert at the beginning of the meal, since our waiter told me that they can put a candle in it. After we finished our food and drinks, the waiter returned with a brownie and ice cream with a candle in it. It was the perfect way to end the birthday dinner.

The food here was delicious. Even better we got to meet the head chef and she was amazing as well. We will definitely be coming back here for the service and great tasting food. Kudos to Chef Joyce.
