Hi Frank, thanks for the comment. Having spoken to the photographer about the image after I did the video (he is a regular at events at my studio) I know the image isn't actually an HDR. It really is an image that has been over edited. Not sure whether the colour cast was from a plug-in or not, From what he told me I don't think he used any LR Plugins to do it. (Though I could be wrong on that). However any time you do major global colour changes to an image (with or without a plug-in) there is risk of halo effects, same goes for many of the 'lets darken' the sky techniques. I've seen much better images from Tristan, in many ways it would have been nicer to talk about one of those, but on the other hand sometimes having someone talk about an image that isn't one of your best can often be more helpful.
