It needed to stop. I wanted to find small pleasures in daily life and feel peace of mind. I didn't realize how stressed I was until I didn't even enjoy listening to music for a few days.

For us, our tattoos symbolize the transformative power of love and friendship, of powerful women who are not afraid to stand up for themselves and their beliefs, a nod to all the women throughout history who were ostracized for being different, for being tried unfairly as witches. For us, these tattoos represent feminism today, for not apologizing for who we are.
I have a tattoo on my arm that says 'witch.'

4th of July: socializing, cold drinks, burgers (sorry, veggie friends), laughter, fireworks...and fashion!

Cleo from 5 to 7 (1962), by Agnes Varda, is a gorgeous french film about a woman awakening to life under the shadow of death.

I know from reading an interview that you appreciated your mentors and even name them in dedications, revealing that you understand how important encouragement is to a new poet.

Now we have Honeymoon. 6+ minutes of strange sorrow, like a murder documentary on in the background, like a 70s starlet who’d lost her way, like someone half-whispering their secrets. It moves and expands, shifts and grows, cinematic and unapologetic and not necessarily in any way catchy. I actually said, “I wonder how many Lana fans can handle this amount of sad” to my boyfriend, who responded, “It sounds like all of her other sad stuff.”

Lying in bed at night, with sadness and sweetness I think about them, the men I didn’t dare let myself love: nine years apart, contained in perfect, finite moments of my life, in glorious summers of writing and eating, of pleasure and moving forward.

Over the last several months, I have scoured the internet (and by internet I mean Etsy) for the best in what’s new with feminist zines, and I am happy to be able to report back some killer recommendations. Instead of reaching for Us Weekly or god forbid Cosmo for our summer reading, we can support feminist artists and writers while simultaneously being entertained and even learning a thing or two.
From us, to you: all of our killer recommendations for feminist zines!

Out of the Woods is by far the most epic song. Those drums are audacious as fuck in their 80s glory, and Taylor is about as melodramatic as they come here. Still feels like an act, but that’s cool. You also have to pretend this song isn’t about a fucking Jonas brother.

Dr. Babb is insanely wonderful. Generous, honest, and actually qualified to talk to you about your ailments. I've been to many doctors who reduced symptoms and who never got to the bottom of it. Not. Dr. Babb. He worked with me for years diagnose, treat and follow-up on my Uveitis. He even called my cell phone to check in when the sickness was as its worst. He does a great job of listening, calming you down and helping you find ways to cut down on the cost of treatments. Honestly, this doctor is really the best. I'm lucky to have him. As a young person with a chronic eye condition, it's great to know someone cares.
