My husband and I just returned from the Tiburon. Can you say FABULOUS! He had the elk that others had previously raved to us about and I had the beef tenderloin. The staff was courteous, kind and very professional. Our service was prompt as was each course of our meal. It was an incredible experience all the way around. We will definitely return again.

I'm frugal. I am working 12 hours from home, near SLC and after eating every meal at the BK lounge for the past two weeks, I thought I should try something special. The building is nothing special- it's nice, but not extravagant. The flatware was "good" Chinese- I was expecting Yamazaki or Henckels- nope and it was about 10 degrees too warm inside. You shouldn't be dobbing sweat off of your brown when you're "fine dining". That's the "bad"- and all of it. The food was very, very good. I dined alone and wanted to try two appetizers so I struck a deal with the waitress. I ordered the Elk (I'm pretty sure it actually was Elk) and it was cooked to perfection. The "house salad" was literally the best salad I've ever had. Not typically a huge salad fan, but if the salad were and entree; I'd order it. I'm not fluent in wines so I had the waitress choose a red for me and it was beautiful. Deep aroma, just the right amount of bitter, but not overpowering for my tastes. Delicious. Too full already, but, with this being a treat and with the success I'd experienced thus far, I ordered the creme brulee. I would have preferred to watch it burn (if it ever was ablaze) then have the finishes applied at the table, but, it too, was delicious. I was never pressed by the waitress. Check-backs were well timed and appropriate. The course service, if you will, was also timed perfectly; quickly enough that I never wondered if I had been forgotten and slow enough that I had time to reset between flavors. I was very pleased with the waitress; the well rehearsed mini-speeches for each serving and professional demeanor was only broken when I "demanded" it. Every casual question I had was immediately and candidly answered with sincerity. I am pretty critical and was looking for mistakes during my meal but there just weren't any to be found. I would be so willing to recommend this place to a friend that I would even pay for it! Take some Benjamin's and eat here. You'll probably love it- I know I did.

The food was excellent. I had the Elk, and it was amazing - tasty and tender. The atmosphere and serving staff were only good though, as it's just an old house that has been converted (and it feels like it inside). Not very romantic. Also, while the wait staff was pleasant they came to our table too often. Would I go back? Yes, but not as a romantic dining option... more casual than that.

Tiburon has been an all time favorite of mine. Ken & Valerie have created a truly amazing business. The food is excellent and the wine list trumps anything in the valley! Be sure to call ahead for reservations.

Expensive, but one of the few restaurants that I would say is very much worth it. Amazing food, helpful staff. Everything is extremely fresh. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Everything you have heard about this place is true--it is simply heavenly! My husband and I celebrated our fifth year anniversary by treating ourselves, and this was exactly what you experience--truly a treat! Our server was respectful and intelligent (we had discussion about some French wars!), the atmosphere classy. But honestly, it was all about the food--we were immediately given water and appetizers, which was thoughtful. The whipped butter recipe they had with their baguette bread was phenomenal. We had a mint-infused lemonade, which was better than my home-made recipe I have loved for years. The salad was simply and sweetly superb, and with all of that, we wondered what we were in for with the main course! My husband spent a number of years in New Zealand, and therefore chose the New Zealand lamb--dusted in pepper, and a blueberry sauce, I thought I had tasted Heaven. But I ordered true heaven--the beef tenderloin. I have never had something that delicious in my life! It had been through 13 rounds of boxing before being cooked to perfection, and was perfectly marbled. I am amazed what a person can do with food--it was presented spectacularly as well. If you want to treat yourself or someone you love, you will NEVER go wrong by choosing Tiburon. I could not recommend it more highly if I tried!
