Barn lights are the perfect accessory for a cute farmhouse kitchen!
Sometimes it's the little things that drive you crazy. Leisa was remodeling her 1936-era, farmhouse style home in East Tennessee and wanted to replace a light in her kitchen. The old fixture had a thumb switch on it and Leisa looked high and low for a wall sconce with a similar switch.

"Where Vintage & Modern Collide"

Barn Light Electric embodies the true American spirit of pursuing a dream and turning a hobby into a thriving business. By accepting the challenge and overcoming obstacles, Bryan and Donna Scott have revived a cherished manufacturing process and transported it into the 21st century with advancements to bring it to the next level.

Like many small businesses, Barn Light Electric began as a weekend hobby for owners Bryan and Donna Scott of Titusville, Florida. Having grown up in the shadow of the Kennedy Space Center in a time when American ingenuity meant everything to this small community, the couple learned early on what hard work and imagination can do.

Barn Light Electric has flourished into a multi-million dollar company and is the only lighting company in America creating porcelain enamel lighting just like the warehouse fixtures manufactured in the early 20th century. These unique lighting fixtures are treasured not only for their hand-spun process and enduring high-gloss porcelain enamel finish but for being a true American-made innovation.

Beautiful light. I rated 5 star for the light itself. The price is a tad high but the quality is impeccable. As far as the turnaround time, it's waaaay slow. From the time I ordered to the time I received the light, it took approximately 5 - 6 weeks. I would highly recommend this website for customize, old fashion lighting.

I had a terrible experience buying from Barn Light Electric. Their inflexibility on their shipping options is a huge turn off and I won't be buying from them again unless this changes. UPS impose ridiculous "brokerage" fees when a package enters into Canada, often exceeding 50% of the value of the package itself! USPS doesn't charge brokerage fees, so in my opinion these fees are made up and completely bogus. I live in a small town with no UPS facility so every night undelivered packages leave town, giving you no opportunity to pick up at your own convenience. I had this package delivered to my parents house, as my 87 year-old grandmother lives with them and is home all the time. Two days in a row UPS rang the doorbell and they were back in their truck and gone before she could answer the door and one of these days she was on her feet in the kitchen, only 10-15 steps from the door and still, they didn't stick around long enough. I don't know what they expect. On this day the note left behind was very rude and read "Tomorrow is your LAST CHANCE!!". In contrast, USPS (which becomes Canada Post) at the border would try to deliver twice at which point they would provide pickup instructions and hold your package for 7 days, giving a normal person who works during the day an opportunity to pick up a package that they PAID FOR, and PAID TO HAVE SHIPPED without being mistreated by an ignorant UPS truck driver! So on the third day my girlfriend, (who the light was for), went to my parents house and waited around the entire day (right by the door!) for the package to arrive. When the driver finally showed hours and hours later she tried to sign for the package and pay him and he informed her he didn't accept cash! He left, again and she called me, absolutely blown away by this and not sure of what to do. I had to leave work, get in my car and drive around looking for this stupid little brown truck. I found the truck 5 minutes to 5 as he was getting coffee and getting ready to hit the highway. Barn Light Electric, I am so disappointed that you have such great products but continue to use a terrible company to handle your shipping. I would love to keep doing business with you but until things change I refuse to deal with you at all. I would really appreciate an email from you and I'd love to talk with you about ways to improve the buying experience for Canadians which for the time being is so horrible I won't go through it again. All the best...

So we ordered an ourdoor lamp in early december. After several phone calls we finally received our order in mid january and were thrilled until we opened the box. The welding looked as if it was done by an amatuer the hole in the top looked like it was poorly carved and not machined. Also the bolt to screw the top on is not even straight!!!! .... we paid close to $500 for this poor qualtity peice of scrap metal. My husband called immediately and the customer service agent was apologetic and asked for us to send pictures and we did . the next day he told us there was another one on immediate order and it was to ship the following monday so to expect the replacement within a week. That was 3 weeks ago. When my husband calls all they say is it looks like it shipped we will check into it and call you back which they never do! This is a shame because we are aware these things happen and and were really hoping this situtation would be corrected. We are in the process of remodeling and were planning on ordering many other things from Barn Light but now... I think we will no longer be ordering anything from this company. So disappointed that we spent close to $500 for something we could have found for a 1/3 of the price at our local home improvement center. The least they could do is return a phone call and tell us they have no desire to make things right instead of lying and saying they will return a call and never do.... Poor qualtity and poor customer service. If they cared at all about their customers they would indeed try to make this right but they have yet to do so, Barn Light if you in fact are reading your reviews feel free to call my husband.,.... the order was under his name John Carter York, PA We would love to hear from you as we are tired of calling you only to be told "we will call you back" but don't! Everyone we know and all facebook and twitter friends will be told of the poor qualtity and poor service and never to order from your company.

I ordered several Ivanhoe pendant lights. The site says shipping within 7 to 10 business days. It was business day 13 when I called. They did not advise of the delay in advance. The customer service rep, Mary Kay was rude from the start. From the beginning she seemed annoyed and tried to rush me off the phone before my questions were answered. In addition she put me on hold for excessive amounts of time, multiple times, and disconnected me causing me to spend approximately 30 minutes waiting for a reply. This was after my first conversation earlier in the day. After promising to connect me with her supervisor to discuss sending the items via fedex Mary Kay kept me on hold for 20 minutes only to repeat what she had already said. in the end her supervisor is shipping the product at their cost using 3 day select ... which will arrive one day after my electricians leave. Since my electricians are completely book I will likely be lightless for some time to come. The customer service was bad from the start. The delivery times are unreliable, and no one takes responsibility to inform the customer of delays in advance. Nor do they respond effectively to problems caused by their misinformation I was very disappointed and will not purchase or recommend the company in the future. Most of all your service staff is not well trained or responsive.

I purchased the Ivanhoe Wilcox at their grand opening sidewalk sale and I adore it! The size of the deep bowl shape makes it such a statement piece and the graphite porcelain finish is so thick and creamy. I'm still debating if I want to enjoy it indoors, or out!
