I have a little announcement to make: Next week at this time I will start a new job as PM Content Manager at ABC News 4 here in Charleston.

I will be overseeing social media and content for the evening broadcasts as well as learning everything I can about video and producing a newscast. I just feel this is a unique opportunity to learn new skills while remaining here in Charleston (where I will be as active as ever on social media).

Be clear, this is not an indictment on The Post and Courier or newspapers. Newspapers, the P&C especially, still provide some of the most important stories you read on the Internet. That, and the people I've come to know and love after 10 1/2 years here have made this a very tough decision but one I think is best for myself and my family.
So once again, thank you everybody for all of your support and friendship over the years. It means a lot to us. There should be some fun adventures ahead.

“When so many people are being hateful, what do you do? I never thought in a million years that people would be so cruel to a child. To me, my daughter is beautiful. I love her. There's not a thing I would change about her.” - Kyra Pringle, mother of Mariah Anderson.
