I'm not being a negative Nora at all; as many of you know I devoutly stand behind the club through thick & thin, but some of the comments made by LvG in his post match interview yesterday have really got my goat, namely "And when you are yelling 'attack, attack, attack' when you are 85 minutes attack, then you have to think by yourself as a fan: 'Hey, is it all right to yell?."
Is it alright to yell?! YES IT BLOODY IS LOUIS BECAUSE THESE POOR SODS ARE PAYING YOUR WAGES. As for him believing fans have been influenced by Paul Scholes & other critics; that is utter nonsense. For the most part, the match going fans are intelligent enough to make up their own minds about the standard of play that is being served up to them; they don't need Scholesy to decide for them. He clearly doesn't have much knowledge of the OT crowd prior to his arrival as the chants of "Attack, attack, attack" have been commonplace, even in the days of Fergie; it's got nothing to do with what Paul Scholes or anybody else has said recently. It has always been the way that the OT faithful have expressed their displeasure with the action on the pitch.
I think the reason why this has got my back up as much as it has is because he is almost implying that we don't know enough about football & are easily led by the opinions of ex players. Whilst that may be true of many fans; it certainly isn't true of us all & as for it being right for us to yell in the stands; we can yell whatever we want as long as it isn't racist or offensive. We've paid enough for the privilege after all. Rant over.
