The world's 225 richest people make ($1 trillion) equal the annual income of the world's 2.5 billion poorest people.

I think most people just don't want to admit to themselves that slavery is still very alive in some forms.

I have to say I'm not pleased with Nintendo's decision to the Wii U Virtual Console separate from the Wii Virtual Console.  I was very much expecting to have a huge library of classic games at my disposal when I used my system for the first time last night.  Word is, that they're starting from scratch and slowly re-releasing the games they've already released. #WiiU #Completefail

Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 6 are must have VC RPGs. If you have somebody to play with, Secret of Mana is good too. I agree with you Justin, I was annoyed about the slow start Wii U VC. Right now you can get Ballon Fighter for 30 cents but that it. Plus Wii U VC games will have option to be playable in gamepad so you won't need the TV, a big plus for me. I just wish they would get the library up and running full steam.

I haven't moved my Wii VC over to Wii U since it will lose save states and I worked far to hard on a few games to start all over again. I plan to keep using Wii for Gamecube games anyways so I won't be getting rid of it anytime soon.

Nintendo Land is a great party game. Try it when you have 2 or more people to play with.

I'm in a 2006 Mazda 3.  I could easily get quite a few more years out of it, but I'm getting into the mileage where you get a lot more maintenance.  Figure if Tesla can get these batteries in a car in 2015 I'll be about ready to consider one.  Nissan has also done some work on EVs that go a lot further than the Leaf that falls short.

Same light as standard light bulbs, but doesn't get hot.  Bulb itself costs 1/2 over the life of it while also using 84% less electricity.  ($10 for 10 years vs $1 for 6 months.)

Much better than CFL as they're dimmable, and you get even further energy savings.

Our drinking water kills fish, who live in fresh water.  What does that say about the standards of what we consume?

Microsoft needs to convince RIM to abandon their own OS and use Windows Phone. It would be a win-win situation. RIM would get a quality modern OS, MS would get a boost for their platform, and consumers would have a reason to buy BlackBerry devices again.

Yup.  That was the whole point of me doing it.  My boss required that I get a Savannah number, but there are a lot of people who have my Jersey number but only reach out every once in a while.
