Ask about their refund policy... It's the same owner for this place, and eye trends. The service here was awful. My wife bought a pair of glasses before they closed. We got home, and noticed their was a huge scratch right down the middle. You can't see it in the store because the lights are so dim. We brought them back, and the manager began to make excuses that it's normal to have a big scratch like that because they are hand made. Then he said he couldn't see it. Excuse after excuse we wanted our money back because they didn't have a replacement pair. They can't give your money back, only in store credit. We got tired of dealing with them, and settled with another pair over at eye trends since the stores are connected. We will never go back.

Compliments to the receptionist for her customer service. The technologically advanced equipment is way ahead of what I've seen at other venues. Sharp looking store appearance and convenient location. The in store selection of frames is also more abundant than anywhere else I've been. I'll go back there for sure, and tell my friends about it!

If glasses are important to you - this is the place! Absolutely Optical is a high end optical store with professional assistance and styles - focused on making you see well and look good! My wife and I travel from Chicago to get our glasses at Absolutely Optical. Yes we can buy similiar brands in the Windy City but the personal attention, inventive suggestions and honest feedback has us coming back for 5 years. Dr. Jay does a wonderful job with eye examinations and he found some issues my wifes' Opthamologist missed. I see better now (even though my eyes are fading) than I have in years based on a great exam and new technology suggestions (HD is wonderful). If you want $59 glasses go somewhere else! However if you want to look good and see well with quality glasses that last many years - Dr. Jay and the team at Absolutely Optical is a great choice.

I agree with the bad reviews posted about Absolutely Optical especially the reviewer who wrote: "I have seen multiple people including two of my buddies who received the wrong prescription in their glasses and started getting headaches." My prescription was also bad - and it was a very obvious error that Costco quickly picked up on. Costco was GREAT. They worked with me through 3 rounds of adjustments and returning the glasses 3 times over about 3 months but I still got headaches. When I finally returned to Dr. Weil of Absolutely Optical to inform him of the probs I was still experiencing, he got testy and rattled on and on about his extensive level of knowledge and expertise. He even blamed things on Costco and said "You get what you pay for!" So I paid for another eye exam this time through Costco and they found a very unusual error in Dr. Weils prescription that didn't make sense for such a supposedly experienced Dr. to make (which was determined after I shared Dr. Weils claims about his expertise). Absolutely Opticals pricing is crazy high end, like, even up to $10,000 for gem studded frames!!! There were less than a hand full of frames under $300! I should have followed my gut instinct that told me something was wrong when I learned about Absolutely Optical through their Groupon which was very misleading because they worded it in a way that gave the impression that the deal included a full eye exam but it did not - and their exam is also expensive! Not a place operating in integrity although the staff was very nice.

I was worried after reading the reviews but could find no other openings anywhere else so I went anyway. I don't know when those reviews were but this place was great. The service was great and Dr. Weil was very nice to both my daughter and I . She got contacts and they gave me a $50 rebate on them. I got glasses. I am 40 years old and have been wearing glasses my whole life and their prices were average. I didn't consider them more than any other place. I usually trust reviews but had to go here anyway. I am glad I did because I was very pleased. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! And no... I don't work there or know the people. I just thought people should know.

I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE! This will be a fair and honest rating. First, the associates helping you pick out glasses are trying to push the most expensive onto you. Even if you tell them you don't wear glass more than 5 mins a day they will still try to get you to buy $1000 glasses. Second, if you do wear contacts don't think that they will show you customer services b/c they don't make money on them. I use to live near Brandon and go to Pearle Vision and they would change my contacts out to the new prescription b/c they have a ton and can use my extras for someone else. With Absolutely Optical I specifically called before my appointment to see if they could trade them in and the gentleman on the phone said yes. I then asked if I would have to buy contacts to do so and he mumble on the phone and then said "yes, yessss, just come in and we will handle it". Well of course when I finished all my exams and finally found some glasses without the gentleman’s help b/c he was tired of me finding less expensive glasses around the store and helped another gentleman I was finally ready to check out. Now when I talked to the doctor about changing out the couple pairs of contacts that were now a lower prescription he said, "No problem". Well to my surprise when I went to check out and get my exchanged contacts the gentleman helping me said I would have to buy a years worth of contacts around $340! I told him I usually only buy a couple boxes every other month and he said that I couldn't and would have to buy them for the whole year. I told him I will just order them online and just wanted the extras changed out with some in the back that the boxes have already been open. They tried using every excuse until he finally said they weren't going to trade them in. So now I have a few contacts that I will be forced to wear that aren't even my correct prescription. Lastly, when the dust settled and I paid for my glasses the gentleman told me they might be ready in a couple days but no more than a week. Well it’s been a week, I call them up, ask the guy what’s my status he then decided to argue with me and tell me they are going to be two weeks. Very Frustrating, if you just want to get your eyes checked and get some glasses. Best of all I have seen multiple people including two of my buddies who received the wrong prescription in their glasses and started getting headaches. These people are unprofessional, rude and like cars salesman. Very Pushy. I don't disagree with people who say they have a variety of high end glasses and some with good prices but prepare to find them yourself. If you are someone like me, who just has to get a yearly checkup to order new contacts or get a quick exam I would not come to this place. I don't understand why this place would be under VSP insurance if they are pushy with sales and don't understand that people have insurance so that they don't have to spend $1000 on (glass, exams, contacts, etc...) Still waiting for my glasses but I will keep everyone posted. Words of advice, if you have money to spend on nice expensive but top brand glasses I would go here. If you have insurance or contacts and just need an exam and some less expensive but nice glasses... Keep Searching!!!!
