Just don't get the rave about this place. parking is a hassle. They only accept cash, not even debit cards! I think with this number of customers and high price for low quality food and service they make enough profit and there is no need for such tricks! I am sorry but just one thing crosses my mind when I see a business forces all customers to pay cash... anyway that's of IRS business not mine! And on top of all I felt sick after having their food yesterday.

Amazing seafood so much better than the over priced and greasy woodman's... Take it from a local, the real fried clams are here!

We started going to Farnham's in the late 1950s. Mom and dad having a lobster roll, my brother and I on the tailgate of the '57 Buick Roadmaster station wagon eating the best fried clams on the planet! Robert Parker referred to Farnham's in one of his Spenser novels, and Guy Fieri holds this place in high regard. Nothing better!

I WENT TO FARNHAM'S ABOUT A MONTH AGO WITH MY WIFE ,SON AND GRANDSON. MY WIFE ORDERED CLAM CAKES AS AN APPERTIZER . THE CLAM CAKES CAME BEFORE OUR ENTREE'S WERE SERVED. AT FIRST GLANCE THE CAKES LOOKED OVER COOKED BUT WHEN THE WERE CUT WITH A FORK THE INSIDE WAS NOT COOKED AT ALL AND THE BATTER WAS VERY RUNNY. I MADE THE SERVER AWARE OF THE UNDER COOKED CLAM CAKE AND SHE AGREED THAT THE COMPLAINT WAS VALID. SHE TOOK THE ORDER BACK TO THE KITCHEN AND RETURNED THE SAME ORDER TO OUR TABLE A FEW MINUTES LATER ( INCLUDING THE BROKEN EXAMPLE ) THIS TIME THE CAKES WERE SO OVER COOKED THAT THEY LOOKED LIKE HOCKEY PUCKS. THE REST OF THE MEAL WAS OK BUT THE UNDER COOKED THEN OVER COOKED CLAM CAKES SET THE TONE OF THE FARNHAM EXPERIANCE. INITALLY THE PRICE WAS RIGHT BUT THE QUALITY OF THE FOOD WAS A DISAPPOINTMENT A S WELL AS THE RESPONSE FROM THE MANAGEMENT. WE TOOK THE CLAM CAKES AND FED THEM TO THE GULLS.
