Growing up, Charles Brennan always knew he was destined for something big. He remember starting his first small business in Elementary School and as early as junior high, he began developing forward thinking plans to create a positive financial environment for himself. While still in high school, Charles Brennan took a position in the collections department of Citibank. He credits this time for opening up his eyes to the great demand for financial services.
In 1990, Charles Brennan left Citibank and opened The Blitz Ballroom, an instant legendary rock ‘n roll bar whose stage was been graced by names such as Quiet Riot and Joan Jett. Charles Brennan soon learned he possessed a natural talent for concert promotion and traveled the Midwest for several years matching artists with accommodating venues.
Then in a rather surprising move, Charles Brennan sold the Blitz Ballroom and headed for Las Vegas, Nevada, where he reentered the collection and finance business. It was in Las Vegas, Nevada, that Dollar Loan Center was born. Partnering with his good friend Keith Bergh, Charles Brennan tapped into an unmet need in the short term lending market. Bucking tradition, Brennan promoted Dollar Loan Center, in the same manner that he had garnered attention for his successful music promotion business – he made it larger than life with television and radio spots and print ads. Charles Brennan labeled any and every possible piece of advertising material available with the Dollar Loan Center logo even advertising on Howard Stern.
Today, Dollar Loan Center serves customers in four states: Utah, South Dakota, Nevada, and California.
In 2001, Mary and Charles Brennan founded Clark County Collection Service, LLC. The agency offers debt collection services to nearly 500 clients Nationwide.
