I changed my password 3 hours after noticing. I've done a Twitter query and asked some strangers in person - and collected about 25 peeps that are also experiencing this functionality fail.

FACEBOOK FAIL

For last 24 hours Facebook functionality is about 30% of normal. Issues include 'no action' when clicking 1) notifications 2) messages 3)new friend requests 4)no online chatters shown 5)cannot do my duties as a Facebook Admin for clients, yada, yada, yada.

Try messaging someone? Takes me right back to my wall. There's more..... Of course, I can't get a response on Twitter from @Facebook.

So strategy for customer service resolution is to come here to G+ and tag this message to every SocMedPro and Facebook employee I can find. By the way, in a Twitter query, others are having the same issues. It is not a browser issue; same issues across different browsers.

+Jeffrey J Kingman It brings to the surface one of the biggest challenges with free software being used for production business purposes. There is no SLA. There is no clear customer service path let alone escalation.

As a business, when you choose a vendor you are essentially choosing a partner. Maybe it will give more businesses pause to consider: do I want to stake my business on a product/service which has no accountability?
