Upscale casual and good, fresh bites at this newer establishment. One of Rick Caruso's buildings with a trader's Joe next door. Love the location!

I was really disappointed in this place. I picked up a couple of side salads, the grain in one was not cooked enough and both lacked flavor. Sorry to say I would not go back.

Not inexpensive but worth every penny. From delectable bites to full plates, everything at The Larder truly hits it's mark! Unexpected and delicious combinations that delighted my group of foodie New Yorker friends :)

This is one of the pricier joints you'll find in LA, but the food and vibe live up to the price. Yes, it's a little hipster, and a little pretentious, but you'd be hard-pressed to find otherwise in this part of LA. Their menu is very extensive, with a little something to please every palate. They have everything from breakfast sandwiches and burgers, to pull-apart monkey bread and some of the most decadent cookies you will ever find; their Nutter Butter and Chewy Chocolate Chip cookies are particularly popular, and for good reason. They even have alcohol on the board, in case you're hankering for some libations with your meal. Everything here is amazing, but one of my favorites have to be the Niman Ranch burger, which is a gorgeously thick and perfectly cooked beef burger patty in a fluffy, golden brioche bun. If that doesn't sound like your thing, then I highly recommend one of their breakfast sandwiches with egg, gruyere cheese, and pesto wedged in between a warm and crispy croissant. Don't feel like dining in? Fine! They also have a fully stocked larder, (hence the name), brimming with excellent cheeses, fresh baked breads, cured meats, and other staples. And in their refrigerated section, you will find several packaged drinks, parfaits, pre-made meals, and even some macarons to satisfy that spoiled sweet tooth. The atmosphere is absolutely lovely, with a mixture of locals and newbies, alike. My only pet peeve about this place is how difficult, and perhaps dangerous it is to find parking. The restaurant itself is situated amidst a section of one-way streets, weirdly-placed crosswalks, and No Parking zones near a well-to-do neighborhood. I, myself, ended up doing some 'Fast & The Furious' maneuvers trying to find a spot, so be forewarned. Aside from that and the price, I have no qualms about this place, at all.
