This narrow little stream is the lifeline of this high altitude village. Among rising temperatures and receding glaciers, the future is uncertain for this remote hamlet. The story is similar for thousands of other villages in the Himalayas. We all have a role to play to protect there future. Every environmentally concious step you take, whether you reduce your waste or reduce your pollution and plastics, you will be indirectly helping these communities to continue their simple lives close to nature, protecting their heritage and culture.

Come and meet these communties to understand their life and their dependency on the fragile ecosystem they have been surviving in since centuries.

Book an experience with us.Through each booking we invest back in the communities ensuring their sustainable future.

Excitement among the villagers putting board for their homestay. Village Mugleb was solar electrified by Global Himalayan Expedition in Dec 2016. Today we set-up our homestay number 12 with village partnership at this remote location. The village is just 15Km from the world famous Pangong lake. Ironically, 1500 tourists visit the lake every day, but the village haven't seen any tourists till now and they strive for basic income. A classic example of commercial tourism where the local communities are ignored and deprived from the main tourism activities. With this homestay set-up, we expect to engage some tourists here and help to improve the income of these families. The villagers of Mugleb are ready to host you!
