Is this the coolest thing, or what? The Toronto metro has a murder mystery playing on screens at its subway platforms. Each episode is 30 seconds, and the plot has a transportation theme. http://www.theatlanticcities.com/commute/2013/02/42-part-murder-mystery-chronicled-toronto-subway/4787/

Do you want to know the real cost of traffic jams in the US? If this doesn't make you want to take transit (or at least to carpool), what else would you need?

Surface transportation policy research and graduate education for public benefit
Introduction
Mineta Transportation Institute is a national University Transportation Center and a Center of Excellence specializing in surface transportation policy studies. The Institute also offers accredited graduate education programs - including masters' degrees and graduate certificates - through its affiliation with San Jose State University.

The Institute, founded by US Transportation Secretary (retired) Norman Y. Mineta, is funded by the US Congress through the US Department of Transportation (US DOT), with additional grants from the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and other public and private sources.

In January 2012, MTI was granted $3.49 million to lead a consortium of nine universities, the Mineta National Transit Research Consortium (MNTRC). The grant will fund transit-related research, workforce development, technology transfer, and education.
