I am absolutely disappointed in this Zoo's views. A zoo isn't a freshman biology class and Giraffe's as well as Lions are not plentiful Frogs or any other commonly used specimen of experimental purposes. The fact that this Zoo said when asked about an Elephant dissection that they would love to dissect such a majestic animal (THANKFULLY they don't have any) absolutely sickens me. Disgusted and very displeased with this Zoo. Hope they change their views soon.

Boycott this zoo. They kill and butcher defenseless animals and feed them to the other animals. They are barabaric and vile. They butcher and cut up these defenseless animals in full view of the the adult patrons AND their children. Boycott this zoo. P.S. Notice that all the positive reviews here are from Denmark. I'm sure there are Danes who don't support bloodthirsty killing of innocent animals like Marius the baby giraffe and the lioness, but obviously the adult patrons and their children have been taught that animal life is worthless. Boycott this zoo. While you're at it, boycott Denmark too.

I read a news that this zoo is killing animals they don't feel like keeping any more and dissects killed animals in front of children in the name of "so called" education. How cruel they are!! It seems to be not enough to deprive animals from their natural habitats. Whether it is human or animal, life should not be taken lightly. If we take animal life lightly just because they have no power to depend themselves and we don't feel like keeping them, we will start to do the same thing toward human in the future if some humans become defenseless. And that's what happened during World War II by Nazi and is happening in North Korea by Dictator Kim Jung-Eun.

Lovely zoo. You don't notice that it's very near the center of the city. There is a lot of exotic animals and the staff here is wonderful.

Would never go there now with this update on them killing the animals because they have too many?.. I think this serves as a great example as to why we, as the public, should not fund Zoos by visiting. They should be helping endangered species and allowing children (especially children) to gain empathy and an understanding of what the older generations mistakes have been regarding respect towards these creatures that share this planet with us. Instead, we have curators (I'd love to know what their yearly salary is) killing animals because they are mismanaging the zoos. This continues to give Zoos the equivalent to what circuses became. Total abuse for animals.

Killing animals in order to make room for new ones? The barbaric and despicable actions of the so-called 'keepers' and 'animal lovers' should be widely abolished. Why could they have simply let the animal go? Back to its original habitat for example? What's worse is that they are trying to justify their actions by claiming that what they are doing is educational. Nonsense. To them it's purely business; it is cruel and unnecessary and they are as bad as SeaWorld. Avoid and hopefully these idiots will generate some sort of compassion towards over living things.

Poor animals being killed and made in pieces in front of the public. this isn't only cruel but also of poor taste. I wish I could give them ZERO stars. that's what they deserve.

Odense ZOO hasn't shared anything with you.

People are more likely to share with you if you add them to your circles.
