Sure, it's a bit of its time and the kid's acting can be a bit stilted but I still like the characters and the stories. Great stuff. I would have only been a few years older than these kids at that time so the styles and culture still resonates with me.

Absolutely ace! Bonus marks for using the closing music to Mary, Mungo and Midge. Nothing takes me back to the early '70s like that tune.

Yes, there's a certain kind of magic in that melody!

Now that I'm working from home I'm being very good and doing my warm ups. Today that seems to have turned into an alt-universe StarFox where space knights joust with twin laser lances!

Thinking about teaming up with a like-minded comics friend to help promote each other's efforts. Y'know the sort of thing - come up with a daft studio name, do a website and sit at a table at cons watching the crowds drift by. Sorry, is that sounding a bit defeatist already?

Excellent! I aim to get some flyers done promoting my stuff done for sure for next year ^-^ Will likely be in 4-6 months at the backlog rate I have, but i am in no rush :)

My claim to fame. Winning this guy from classic UK '80s game mag - Crash, for mapping Alien 8 on the ZX Spectrum. Took me flippin' ages to do.

It was issue 20, September 1985. A lifetime ago. When I got to Rare I discovered that Tim and Chris (Stamper) had (at least) two of each of the compo trophies they had made as the others were all on a shelf in a stairwell (and later in the board room). It's funny but you would have thought that photos of the others would have appeared somewhere on the net but I've never seen any of them outside of Rare towers.

Another daft page from Smart Bomb!! issue 2. I would post some non-daft stuff but there isn't any!

Tucker really was a little git in the early days.

Why wait for someone to come up with your ideal video games mag when you can create your own. Well, the cover, anyway. Happy Halloween!

My 8 year old son was completely baffled and didn't really have a clue what was going on but I shouldn't have been as well, should I?

My latest Soul of Chogokin - the awesome Godsigma! Each leg is also a separate, transformable robot although I imagine they probably get a bit annoyed at being legs a lot of the time. That's sort of the giant anime robot equivalent of being the back end of a pantomime cow.

And the cover to SB issue 2. I'm posting these to kick me in the backside to finish it off (please note, that's not an invite for others to kick me in the backside :) ).

Daft page from my daft all-ages, video game, anthology comic/mag - Smart Bomb!! issue 2. Slight overkill on the Pshop colouring but it suits that type of strip.
