Látogatóink megszokhatták már, hogy Mikulás apó rendre nálunk tartja a nagy ajándékosztást megelőző főpróbát. Így lesz ez most is! Aki december 1-én és 2-án kilátogat hozzánk, találkozhat a Mikulással, sőt ajándékot is kap tőle!
Vasárnap pedig izgalmas Állatvarázs Vetélkedőn vehetnek részt 2-5 fős csapatok. A játékhoz tesztlapot a bejáratnál osztunk vasárnap 9-11 óra között, a döntő megmérettetés 12 órakor lesz a Varázshegyben! Az első helyezett csapat tagjai állatkerti bérletet, a 2. és 3. helyezett csapatok állatkerti belépőket, a 4-10. helyezett állatos DVD-filmet, illetve újságot kapnak ajándékba.

Very impressive zoo with a huge variety of animals. I particularly enjoyed the kangaroos and meerkats. It's very surreal to be up so close to the animals as you are walking into some of the enclosures and with that in mind you are able to pet the animals. The scale of the zoo is vast and would recommend for a two day visit at least. Good price and location as it's close to the metro and heroes square.

A nice zoo but very strangely laid out. Hard to work out best route through the zoo and some houses got very crowded as no easy way to get through the building. Very little signage in English. Most buildings there was no sign outside to tell you what you were walking into. Sometimes hard to even find the way into the building.

Lot of animals ;) relatively cheap, and unique exhibitions. Located near to a big park so its a good option to spend the whole day in the neighborhood. Animals shows, feedings and kids friendly programs during the whole day. Worth visiting ;)

wintessed sexual assault of baboon by goat. Was harrowing, the monkey escaped but the goat thing was just stood their thrusting about... also wagging its tongue about in a sexual manner. Feel really sorry for the poor monkeys entrapped in the sex den of mountain goat. There was even a lady mountain goat there but the guy goat wasn't even bothered, only interested in the monkey - think it was a power play. Not cool

Most of the buildings don't open until 10, but the zoo opens at 9, so the first hour is pretty quiet. There are a number of exhibits that let you pretty close to the animals; several exhibits, such as the lemur and culture areas, even let you into the animal enclosures. The zoo is well maintained.

I have a somewhat love-hate relationship with zoos, so I may be biased here. I have the love for the animals and the hate for keeping them captive, which takes away from their natural beauty. I realize that, for most people, including me, there's no other way of standing one meter away from a tiger or a lion, but you'll see some examples of extreme sadness in here, although the animals quite have a habit here and they're treated better than in a lot of other zoos. However, the zoo is also mixed with a botanical garden, which is really nice. In the three hours spent here, I barely covered over half, the place is huge, if you want to take the time and see it all. BUT some of the parts are not really tourist friendly as the panels are only in hungarian, so you won't understand much, but I suppose this is a work in progress. Overall, by all means, do come here and check both the beauty and the sadness of this place.

It' s very big and beautiful. Many things to see and visit. You should reserve at least a half of day for it.
