People often ask me what work days in the film industry are like. It's hard to explain in words, but thankfully this cool webseries nails it dead on:

What truly sells it for me is getting the book writer for the stage musical to compose the screenplay.

The cast, director, and writer behind "Into The Woods" share their insights into Sondheim, their roles, and the beautiful parallels in the story.

Thus far, this is my fav stage-to-screen adaptation (though to be fair, I've yet to experience the stage version). Marshall and Lupine allowed for a mix of live performance and pre-recordings to amplify the best of both processes. The sets were, for the most part, created versus green-screened.

Absolutely shorts are harder than features. That's why I waste so much time hammering out draft revisions for features and can't sit down to compose shorts >.<

Both with my screenplays and my novels, short story exercises are crucial to my current development as a writer. They should be at the front of any aspiring writer's mind if that writer truly wishes to improve craft and success.

The Unsinkable Molly Brown is a “theatrically remastered” musical directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall. Based on the 1960 performance from Meredith Willson, the Denver debut includes fresh music and staging to better entertain and enlighten audiences on the life and love that was Molly Brown.
