We want to make sharing video on YouTube as easy and fun as it is to watch it, especially on mobile devices. With the YouTube Capture app now for iPad and iPad mini, you can record, edit and share your video in just a few clicks. After filming a video, you can quickly add auto color correction, auto stabilization, trimming and music. Upload instantly to YouTube either as a private video, or if you catch the next Double Rainbow and want the world to see, post it to Google+, Facebook and Twitter all at once. Download YouTube Capture from the App Store, but please, film wisely so your iPad isn’t blocking everyone’s view.

Video recording and uploading to YouTube is a feature directly built into Android phones and tablets, so having a dedicated recording app isn’t entirely necessary on those platforms. Nevertheless, a YouTube spokesperson said the company is looking to bring YouTube Capture to Android in the future as well.

You 2 know this, right?

Is it just me or does Google seem to be supporting iOS better than Android these days?

+Jeremy Haas .. like +Swee Sien Lim said, we already have the option to upload directly to +YouTube from Android.. In my opinion it would be useless to get another app for that. I prefer using the app I want and then share to Youtube.. I gues Google want to be present on iOS and not ditch them as there are still many users (read data) on that platform.

Lately, instead of feeling annoyed when Google releases stuff for iOS before Android, I've been realizing that Android either already has that feature, or Google has something better up their sleeves for Android later.

Google Now, Ingress. Both not available for iOS. Field Trip just came out after it had been out for Android for a while.

We just tend to notice it when a particular product isn't out for 'our' platform. I don't think there's any larger conspiracy here.

Umm, doesn't google own Youtube?  How come this isn't on Android first.

Do people read comments before posting their own or is this some kind of trolling.

Guess we'll see a lot of shitty films filmed by teenagers, just like what's going on at Facebook at the moment.

I already have that on my iPod incase I want to post something on YouTube!

Recording videos requires a 'pause' function. Does this update include that?

Omg... So many people want this for Android... This app is basically a work around for a lack of features built into iOS. You already have this for Android. It's built in! +Zachary Jenkins +IRAJ AZIZZADEH

Android doesn't need it because of its sharing to any app capabilities.

I read that 70% of phones sold in 2012 were ANDROID so whats the point of just putting it on ios??

Before all that, why not convert the entire site to WebM first?
