Recently, a burly-looking guy was gifted a massage with me, and his friend warned me: "He doesn't like to be touched, so only massage his head." REALLY?? It turns out, since he is such a large man, previous massage therapists had misread what his body REALLY needs, had worked too deep, and he hated that.

I gave him an hour of my Melting Touch Method© - gentle cranial work, scalp massage, lymphatic facial drain, and slow smooth shoulders. He drifted off into The Zone! To complete the session, since I had not yet touched the rest of his body, I placed my hands gently in Polarity positions: first his shoulders, then hips, knees, feet, and then back to make a STAR configuration on his torso, and end with hand on heart.

WOW! HE LOVED IT!! and will return next week. He said he felt safe with me, he had feared it would hurt again. He told me when I finally touched his knees, he felt an explosion of energy, and that flowed all through his body, towards feet, and head. I let him know his body type prefers this light style, working with the FLUIDS of the body (lymph, cerebral spinal, digestion).

Reminder to NEVER PROFILE or ASS-U-ME you know the needs of your client, the method that works for them may be very different that what you expect. #MyJobIsToListen #ILoveMyWork #Grateful
