SHARE THIS DOG FLU ALERT: Officials are investigating 200 suspected cases of extremely contagious, potentially deadly dog flu spreading in North Carolina.

"There's a pretty high likelihood of it traveling from Asheville to Charlotte and we have been seeing spreading cases around the country," said local veterinarian Kim Bishop. Ways to protect your pet at 6:15 p.m.
Dog care facilities in North Carolina are taking safety precautions after two confirmed cases of the dog flu in Asheville.

MUST SEE: Police in Nova Scotia, are serious about parking violations – even if the culprit is a 3-year-old biker-in-training.

TIMELINE: Questions remain after Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther, the missing pregnant woman from Salisbury, was found in Boone Monday.

Deputies said the woman used an ATM card Monday at a CVS in Boone. Officials found her at a gas station a short time later. She's at the hospital being evaluated.

A Few Domestic Violence
Quick Facts:
          84% of all reported Domestic Violence is Non-violent.
        Of all the family violence deaths nationally, less than half of a percent  (0.3%)  resulted in death as a result of the incident.  In N.D. only 0.14% total deaths resulted from all domestic violence. 
       Compared to other causes of death domestic violence ranks amongst the lowest cause of death.  In fact, in a scientific report it would be declared as insignificant, or negligeable.
        Up to 80% of domestic violence allegations against men are false allegations.
        At least 1 in 3 falsely arrested for domestic violence nationally.
        Nearly 1 out of every 2 falsely arrested for domestic violence in N.D.
        Despite being Innocent over 95% of defendants are forced to plead guilty rather than go to trial.
        LGBTQ and HIV-affected people of color make up over 50 percent of all intimate-partner violence cases.
(44% of lesbian women and 61% of bisexual women – compared to 35% of heterosexual women.
26% of gay men and 37% of bisexual men – compared to 29% of heterosexual men.)
        Study finds a 41% false allegation rate for rape claims.
        Women perpetrate over 70% of interpersonal violence against men.
       Women kill family members 3 times more often than men in the USA.  60% of women's murders are their own family members , while men murder family only 20% of their murders.
        Women use weapons in 80% of their assaults, while only 25% for men.
        Women are 9 times more likely to call the police than men in domestic violence.
        When the police are called on a domestic violence situation, 96% of the time the man is arrested.
          54% of all domestic violence injuries are perpetrated against men.
          When someone is seriously injured because of domestic violence, 66% of cases are men.
        Law Enforcement Officers commit the most violent assault crimes, the most sexual assault crimes, the most fatal excessive force crimes, and police domestic violence is two to four times higher than the general population.
