Is it me or do they try to minimize Nye? First by saying he's a children's entertainer (he's more than just that). Then the article says that he's not a climate scientist. The article didn't mention that the GOP congresswoman isn't a climate scientist.

Bill Nye 'The Science Guy' Debated A GOP Congresswoman On Climate Change, And It Was Surreal

Is this some sort of fly by night online school with the degree printed on the back of a placemat?

Person decided they'd rather go the wrong way than wait for bridge to open. They almost drove onto the highway going the wrong way. They would have if an SVU hadn't been coming up the off ramp.

I was waiting to hear a crash. Person was lucky the SVU was there. They kept going the wrong way though. It was just wasn't on the highway.

Has anyone ever reversed Pascal's Wager? If god doesn't exist, you've lost a lot.  How much time lost worshipping something that doesn't exist?  Or being repressed due to it?  The wars fought, the people killed.  Children abused in the name of nothing.  Children molested and it being covered up to protect an institution that believes in a non entitiy.  The Dark Ages.  People burned for heresy.  Tell me how how that isn't losing?

Report the filth +Robbie Adams points out here. G+ is no place for pedophiles. If you come across sick minds like these then point them out for others to report.

Came across a post on YouTube about how Jesus allowed himself to be crucified. That he chose to die to save mankind. And it struck me that Jesus had effectively committed suicide. By way of crucifixion. So, wouldn't that mean that Jesus couldn't get into heaven?

+Grant Cogbill You do realize that there is a big wide world that is NOT christian? Even if you imagine that 2 billion people (overly generous estimate) are supposedly of the "christian" belief system. That still leaves about 5 billion people that are not. Your silly self-serving and self-centered god/jesus must not give a shit about any of them eh?

How do they manage to not just kill each other in some kind of satanic orgy of murder?

Morals never came from a god or religion. Morals are an innate part of animal behavior and yes, humans are a kind of animal with various social rules and norms. Many moral sentiments about many subjects are pretty much the same all around the planet no matter what religion or none that the people have.

I lived in South Korea and Taiwan. They seemed to have a system of morals that kept people acting nice to each other most of the time and yet very few of them are "christian" How do you explain that?

What makes you think that religion is the only way that humans can know how to be kind or helpful to each other?

You are right that some human will pay for what some humans do to each other. It is ONLY humans that even need to be thought about when talking about morals. If you can outsource your morals to some kind of unaccountable and invisible source, then how can any sort of real justice or mercy be actualized in human relationships?

I ordered the HTC One on line today.  Had it set to pick up in store my local Verizon store.  Now, I had been in the store the other day to upgrade my phone.  But I couldn't without my wife present, as she's the primary account holder.  When I ordered it online tonight, I EXPLICITLY asked the Verizon support tech (or whatever they're called) if I would need my wife present to pick it up.  I was informed that all I needed was my ID and the credit card that I used to order the phone.  My wife wouldn't need to be present.  Great!  I waited for the email that informed me the phone was available for pickup.  Went to pick it up and pick out a case for it.  Unfortunately, I couldn't get it because they wouldn't sell it to me without my wife present.  Seriously?  +Verizon Wireless Customer Support do you have something against my money?!  I don't appreciate driving out to get my phone and not getting it because your left hand doesn't know what your right hand is doing! Considering that I pay for half of the bill, I am NOT happy that I can't even get my new device!  If it wasn't for my wife, I'd dump you and switch to a company that actually APPRECIATES its customers!

Just watched my first Google Play Movies on the Chromecast.  It was Star Trek:Into Darkness.  Looked beautiful and no issues whatsoever!  One Google Play Movie I was playing with is pausing the movie to get info about the actors on the screen.  Great feature!  The combination of the Chromecast and Play Movies was excellent and a joy to use!  If I can find a movie on Play Movies I am going to watch that.  Instead of starting up my Xbox to rent it from Amazon!  Hope Amazon failing to support Android devices bites them in the ass!

OK, that's what I thought. I wonder if it's possible to implement that on Chromecast though...

Was just pondering if Jughead had celiac disease? Seems to suffer from always being tired. Bet he'd have more energy if he gave up grains! #celiac #Jughead
