A beautiful photo essay about the Elephant Conservation Camp in Laos by our marketing director. He had the pleasure of spending three days at the camp and of course he included an adorable video of a baby elephant in the blog.

I just returned from a custom three-week trip through Southeast Asia and one of the highlights was our time at the Elephant Conservation Camp (ECC). The camp is located about 2 1/2 hours from Luang Prabang in the Nam Tien Protected Area just outside the village of Sayaboury on the edge of Nam Tien Lake. The camp is home to 9 rescued elephants from ...

#wildlifewednesday  Great alumni photo of a lineated woodpecker (Hylatomus lineatus) in Costa Rica.

The Lineated Woodpecker is a large, crested woodpecker widespread in forested habitats in the Neotropics. They communicate through vocalizations, drumming, and rapping, especially during territory defense; the vocalizations are distinctive, and the sustained, laughing call is a common sound in many areas.

This is the third Seattle Sombrero I have owned… I lost the first two (orange and red) over the years and now it is my new blue sombrero that travels with me everywhere I go…. From my short bike rides to the grocery store to my multiday trips around Costa Rica, this sombrero and I are inseparable. Here in Costa Rica we have a long rainy season, eve...

If you want to experience the real India, you need a great guide. Meet Harendra, one of the best guides in India and our travelers think so too:

"We have been traveling over 25 years with 2 to sometimes 3 international trips a year with a variety of companies. Harendra is right at the top of the list of guides we have had and we have had some very good ones over the years." - alumni quote

One of the best ways we can do this is through partnering with local guides who have grown up in these different areas and know what makes them truly special. As Amit, our India contact states, India is a land of experiences. You may have come 10 times to In...
