Stunning location indeed however it fell quite short for a relays-Chateaux. The Deluxe Loft Suite is presented as allowing 4 adults or family. While the kitchen was helpful, the pull-out for 2 adults was a dated sprinted pull out couch. miserably uncomfortable for even the hardiest. Today, there are a few supreme pull-out models that provide great comfort. This is unacceptable. We purchased the New-Years 3-night package which we will not do again. Between the staff demanding to see each "voucher" before receiving the "exclusive" treatment, breakfast and New years eve dinner, it felt more like a devalued coupon one cuts out of a news-paper. The new years Eve dinner was awful. The food was terrible; each "minion sized course was embarrassing. The band played for 20 minute intervals taking 40 minute breaks. the energy was stale which reflected the service. We were not served our 1st "course' (albeit brutal), until 2 hours past our "seating". Unbelievable !!! I had preface when i made the reservation 4 months earlier, we had a child and would ask for a child-friendly meal knowing the menu would hold a more mature palette. This detail/request was unrecognized. They fumbled and provided a hamburger. For this grand "package' of $3700, it was a pathetic unmemorable attempt at bringing in the new year. Funnily enough, I have spoke to several friends who cautioned me with regard to the dining room. Saying that the food was less than what one would rightly expect. These are sources all over Canada therefore it not to say that our experience was one-off.

Put this place on your bucket list if your love nature, great hospitality and fabulous food! The rooms are STUNNING! Chesterman beach is beautiful rain or shine but no need to fret as regardless of the weather the Wickaninnish has thought of everything you'll need. The soaker tubs with ocean views will make it difficult to leave #heavenonearth

Everything about this hotel is great. The staff, the food, the facilities. It's all really great. I can't say enough about this place. It's fantastic! If I had to nitpick about something it's that the treadmills in the gym were not working properly. Another minor thing is that if you fly in, you have to pay for the shuttle to pick you up. It should be included IMHO. We will be back for sure.

Apparently you can't book a table in the restaurant with a sea view. However on arrival I was told I couldn't have a certain table as I'd only made reservations a few days before and the other table had been booked for months. So much for no sea view reservations. Pretty disappointed before you sit down. Food is good, expect to pay about $250 for 2 people not cheap but about normal for this type of food

Best food in Tofino by far! Don't expect a cheap night though! This is one for a special occasion..... Try the 'Feather George' drink. A special drink named after my good friend George (the carver in the shed). Cedar infused Whiskey! Very good!

My boyfriend and I wanted to celebrate our anniversary in style, and the Wickaninnish Inn was the perfect luxury hotel! Your jaw simply drops when you enter either building and you’re faced with this view of the open ocean. We stayed for 2 nights in the Beach building in a deluxe room, which was especially quiet as the spa and restaurant are in the other “Pointe” building so there aren’t as many people coming through. Our King bed was very plush, there was a fireplace with a selection of books, and even the soaker tub has a view of the beach + the ocean! We left our patio door slightly ajar to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean… We ordered breakfast in bed, enjoyed massages at the Ancient Cedars Spa (followed by a steam), and a delicious dinner at the Pointe restaurant. Our server Kevin arranged wine pairings for every course, which was great as I was eating the Potlatch (their signature dish) and my boyfriend enjoyed the steak, so we each drank a different glass without having to order a full bottle. A window table wasn’t available (apparently, people reserve a year in advance while we only did a month ago), but we sat close to the fireplace and the views were still amazing as the restaurant has 240 degree exposure. Overall, we napped a lot, took a few walks on Chesterman Beach and watched the surfers, and the Inn also provided us with raingear and boots so we could explore Pacific Rim National Park and Long Beach (very windy!) We drove into Tofino, which is not your typically cute seaside village, but we visited some art galleries, and had a homemade muffin at the Common Loaf, which is like the hippie hangout in town – very genuine! The 5 hour drive from Vancouver is breathtaking, but once you pass Port Alberni, the road definitely changes character and it’s very much like driving in Europe, with twists and turns and a mountain pass. We had to slow down quite a bit on this stretch, and it felt so good to finally arrive at the Inn. Overall, a wonderful experience we hope to repeat again.
