Stacey Borden, an alum of Wheelock's Comparative Social Practices study abroad course, is dedicated to reducing the number of incarcerated women and giving formerly incarcerated women a second chance. After touring women's facilities in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden as part of her study abroad course, she began to wonder how she could integrate their ideals of restorative justice into the United States justice system.
