General Discussion  -

In honor of Throwback Thursday, we decided to take a look at the changes and development of the Stormtrooper helmet. The upcoming The Force Awakens has revealed a new, sleeker evolution of the helmet which debuted back in 1977 with A New Hope. What do you think of the new design? Weigh in below — and suit up for a heated debate. #StarWars #TBT

+Verizon FiOS, TFA occurs 30 years in anon after RoTJ so it's expected you would see a drastically different look and a different generation of recruits. I'm not sure whether throwing out the classic look is for the better or for the worse, but I'm confident that they can retain the charm the original trilogy had with the Empire.

They say Robert Grebler built the tallest Jenga tower ever in 1985. With all the time in the world, Phil’s got that beat. Probably. What would you do if you were #TheLastManOnEarth?

Peggy Carter almost always wears a hint of red, white or blue, perhaps in tribute to Captain America. We want to know, which Marvel character would you like to nab their own movie or TV series?

Moon Knight should be a legend. Love this quote from him, "I don't wear white to hide myself, I wear it so they'll see me coming. So they know who it is, 'cause when they see white it doesn't matter how good a target I am. Their hands shake so bad, they couldn't hit the moon." +Martin Guzman +Matthew Bytwerk

With 12 different outings and a 13th on the way, it can be a daunting task deciding which Friday to slice into. We’ve chopped through the chaff to bring you the prime cuts in honor of today’s date. Weigh in on our picks — what are we missing? (Any die-hard fans for Jason Takes Manhattan?)

The sound of the TARDIS takeoff was created by dragging keys on piano strings, then adding reverb and echo. Over 50 years later, it’s still epically cosmic. So Whovians, how would you describe the noises made by the TARDIS when taking off? #DoctorWho

I think the uniqueness of the sound effect is what makes it so intriguing.  The closest thing I could compare it to was the roar from the original Godzilla movies.

If someone said "this is what it sounds like when time and space disconnect" it would be completely believable..  Well done BBC sound effect folks!

Creator George RR Martin has said that HBO’s throne is not nearly big or scary enough — what do you think? #asongoficeandfire #gameofthrones

I think David and Daniel are aware that the throne isn't how it was suppose to look, it would be impossible. They made a slight joke about it in the show sure between Littlefinger and Vary's.. 'Thousand blades of Aegon's enemies' 'There isn't a thousand there's barely 200, I've counted' 'I'm sure you have.

Hold onto that flyswatter: Looper director Rian Johnson helmed this gripping third-season episode which finds Walter White hunting a pesky fly in his lab. Keeping the location contained kept the tension high — and the budget extremely low, making this episode a perfect example of a “bottle episode,” where the story and cast are kept “bottled” in a single, inexpensive location. #BreakingBad

Bonnie, we’re glad you’re back, but it sure hasn’t been an easy adjustment. Clearly the Bennett witch has changed—she stabbed Kai in the woods of the 1903 prison world. Do you like the new Bonnie, what do you think is in store for her during the rest of season 6? #VampireDiaries

“I’d say the first thing you need… is a pumpkin.” 65 years later and audiences are still in love with the timeless magic and romance of Cinderella. Which Disney classic would you like to see remade with a modern twist?

Shailene Woodley had all of the proper virtues to play Tris, as she was the only actress considered for the role. Dauntless, Abnegation, Erudite, Candor, Amity – which faction would you call home?

With over 200 video game appearances, more than 210 million sales and countless million man hours we still have no desire to stop breaking bricks and stomping on Koopa. Tell us, who’s playing Mario Party 10? And, which Mario game do you still pull out of the closet to play?

Darth Vader's cameo in #StarWarsRebels boasted noticeably red lenses. Darth’s lenses were always red, allowing him to detect infrared and UV rays and protecting his damaged retinas, but how red is too red? Take a look at some differences to the iconic helmet and weigh in below.

Introduction

We're not just big on fiber optics. We're diehard entertainment fans too. But not just like, “Oh yeah, a big-budget movie is coming out so we better pretend we’ve been paying attention to the franchise” kinda fans. Nope. We’re talking the real kind. The kind that shakes violently with uncontrollable excitement whenever a new cast is announced or an awesome teaser drops. The kind of fan that can’t wait to get their hands on the latest FPS, RTS or RPG. And definitely the type of fan that paints their face up for the game even if they’re watching it alone.

So, come hang out with us. We’re going to get along beautifully.
