A team of #UWAllen and UW Medicine researchers developed the ApneaApp technology as a convenient, non-invasive solution for detecting potentially dangerous sleep issues like obstructive sleep apnea. The technology behind ApneaApp, which was licensed from UW CoMotion by ResMed, is now available to consumers as part of the new SleepScore app on iPhone and Google Play. The app turns a smartphone into an active sonar system that measures subtle changes in body movements and breathing during the night. The technology will help people to better understand and manage their sleep - and with it, their health. #UWinnovates
