Employers are more satisfied with UOW graduates than graduates from all other NSW universities, a new survey finds. The Australian Government’s Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching 2017 Employer Satisfaction Survey (QILT ESS) has ranked UOW fifth in Australia for employers' overall satisfaction with graduates – the highest ranking achieved by any NSW-based university.

Team UOW Australia-Dubai marked a major milestone today with construction commencing as part of a two-year project to build a sustainable and dementia-friendly house at the TAFE NSW Illawarra campus. The house will be entered in the Solar Decathlon Middle East 2018, an international design and construction competition that focuses on sustainability.

More than 4000 hopeful students descended on UOW's Wollongong campus to undergo interviews as part of the student-centred Early Admissions process. The program provides an alternative pathway into the University and facilitates early placement for approximately 40 per cent of domestic undergraduate enrolments, on a non-ATAR basis.

UOW is coming to Western Sydney!

We're thrilled to announce a new UOW campus in Liverpool, with courses commencing from February 2017.

Eventually offering degrees from all five UOW faculties, as well as university entry and vocational training programs, UOW plans to grow the campus to more than 7,000 students by 2030.

At an age when most teenagers are focusing on their HSC, 16-year-old Jessica Sparks was lying in a hospital bed with end stage lung disease.

After a four-year wait, the call finally came that the former representative netball player would receive a life-saving double lung transplant.

“I had come to a point where I had accepted that if I went, I went. To be in that position and to have come through that it gives you a whole new perspective on life. All these hopes and dreams that I had before became possible again.”
