HoosNetwork Digital Events and University Communications invite all alumni, parents, students and friends to a live web event featuring Amy Yancey, Executive Director for Development, Jeffersonian Grounds Initiative, on Saving the Rotunda: What’s Next? 

Last summer, crews finished the first phase of the most comprehensive renovation of the Rotunda undertaken since it was rebuilt after the 1895 fire. This May, work on the largest and final stage of renovation will begin. Ms. Yancey will give an update on the Rotunda renovation and plans for renewing the Academical Village. 
This Hangout On Air is hosted by University of Virginia. The live video broadcast will begin soon.

University of Virginia associate professor Mary Margaret Frank, of the Darden School of Business, will join the U.S. State Department’s Thomas Debass, deputy special representative for global partnerships, today at 1:30 p.m. during “Public-Private Partnerships Helping to Promote Diplomacy and Development,” a Google+ Hangout wrapping up the events of 2014 Global Partnerships Week.

Global Partnerships Week recognizes public-private partnership practitioners who strive to tackle major global challenges through market and mission-driven partnerships. During one week each March, GP3 inspires public and private organizations everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as shared value collaborators. thanks - good stuff.  Didn't know UVA admissions really wanted extra letters  of recommendation from alumni in support of applicants.  At one point, he made it sound like they welcomed them.  Dean J discouraged this on her blog last year!  Might want to clarify this...
