Have troubles with lecture classes? You are not alone.
Evidence suggests that it’s not the right form of teaching for many women, minorities and low-income students.

The University of New Haven is interesting to say the least. I chose the I/O program because it was and is TOP NOTCH. Be mindful when being recruited to work at the university in exchange for the discount (50-75%) on their overpriced undergraduate and graduate degrees. DO NOT WORK IN THE CENTER FOR LEARNING RESOURCES: The director does not have a clue about what they are doing and expects and hounds you to do their professional work for them. You will eventually lose your tuition discount because it will be given to the next incoming class.... Or you'll be so fed up with this department it's worth leaving (because it doesn't promote educational development.) Steer clear of this unhealthy and poorly managed department. Focus on your program and obtain internships outside of the University. UNH is a money hungry university, that can and will extort as much as possible out of you. At least until you drop out or complete your degree This is valuable advice from someone who experienced this first hand and chose to grow, develop, and better myself from this experience. Be careful and continue your education. It's more valuable now than ever. This is my genuine review of this University and nothing short of that. I'll have my degree in a year and this experience will be in my rear view.

Ignore all of the other reviews about how bad they say this University is because they cant find a job. Its their responsibility to find one not the university's. I love this University, they care about their students more than their money and will work with you to find a solution to any of your problems. SOME of the staff could use some work but, most are great down to earth people. Having more than 230 active clubs on campus leads you not to be bored during your free time. I even was granted the opportunity to found my own Club-Sport UNH E-Sports. and as long as there is interest you can found your very own club as well. Class sizes are very small usually no more than 20 students per class. Professors will work with you if you have any problems with the course. Last year, my roommate became depressed to the point that i had missed many of my classes to stay and watch him to make sure he didnt hurt himself. This had effected my grades in all of my classes. and through sitting down with all of my professors i was able to work out a deal with all of them to help me pass my class. This University is the University of Experimental learning and they are always willing to help you out. YOU JUST HAVE TO ASK

Loved it, a beautiful and growing campus with awesome buildings including 2 LEED certified Green Buildings. The faculty and staff felt like close friends and the educational program I attended was awesome.

Am going to environmental engineering program.Faculty members are awesome. They'll help in each aspect. But the main backdrop is scholarships for this program. To attract new students, they started scholarships to incoming students and stopped granting scholarships for our batch. It made me hate the university.

Shamelessly pursuing the wasteful race for more amenities along with the predictable tuition hikes that go along with it. The office of residential life fully utilizes the draconian policies of forced triples and eviction for even the most minor breach of policy. There are better, more reasonably priced options to be had elsewhere for higher education.

The university of new haven was the best choice I've made so far, I received an amazing criminal justice education that I am putting to use immediately since I just got a job right after my graduation in May. The school does help you in every way but you also have to help yourself. Yes, just like everyone in America, I have student loans but they were all worth it for the better than five star experience I had there.

My fiancé went to this school and graduated in 2010. Four years later, and $100,000 in student loans, working a minimum wage job and hardly making ends meet. He went to school for audio recording, and even though this school has the best of the best equipment, they DO NOT HELP YOU FIND A JOB. The only way you can have an internship through them, is if you have the unpaid internship in the last year of school. Unfortunately, can't work for free because of the student loans. So here it is, four years later... and he asked them for help, and they suggested he goes back to school in order to work for an unpaid internship. Why? So he can go another $100,000 into debt? This school didn't inform him of the logistics of obtaining a job after college in that field, and any idiot could see where the job market was headed. He was misinformed, and unfortunately, when you're seventeen, you're a bit too naïve and trusting. This school is just looking to line their own pockets, and don't much care what happens to you after you graduate.
