Stonehenge may have been first erected in Wales, evidence suggests

Excavations of two quarries in Wales, led by Professor Mike Parker Pearson (UCL Archaeology), has confirmed that they are sources of Stonehenge’s ‘bluestones’– and shed light on how they were quarried and transported.
