Talk about a far cry from the Universal Orlando location! Not too far, but, I felt like I was truly experiencing a bit of Hollywood at this Universal location. Not as many attractions as the Orlando location, but the Studio Tour is a MUST and definitely my favorite part of the park. There's still a ton of fun and things to explore here and there and the sights of the city are the absolute best. This park is growing even more and I cannot wait to come back to visit! Love this park!

Worst customer service EVER! I have worked in amusement parks, and I have been to many amusement parks. I have never been treated as badly at an amusement park as the employees at this park treat their customers. I honestly can not think of a time at any other park that I was treated badly at all, just this one. It was not just one park employee who was rude to me and my family either. There were many of them who treated their park guests as if they did not matter. They are rude. They won't listen if you try to ask a question. They order guests around. They yell at guests. There was one point, my daughter and I were going to get food and a man in a Scooby Doo costume was near where we were headed and a park employee stormed over to us and yelled at us if we wanted to see Scooby we had to go to the pavillion. I was shocked, but just told her we were going to get food. She didn't even appollogise. She just said "Oh..." and walked away. This is just one example of how rude they are. There was another point on one of their "rides" that we waited for, once we were going to our seat, they told me I had to move my daughter because she was too small to sit on the outside. This was no problem, but my daughter is small, and didn't understand why we were moving so she began crying. It would have been nice if the employees had told us this before we sat down, but apparently they feel it's more fun to stop the ride, yell at us to switch seats. Then when my daughter started crying because they yelled at us, they tell us we have to get off the ride. She wouldn't have cried if he didn't yell, and if they had told us where to sit in the first place. And he wouldn't even give me a chance to calm her down, he just yelled at us and told us to leave. If he would have let us sit back down, she would have stopped crying immediately. But he didn't even give us a chance. This is not a cheap park. People spend a lot of money to come here. And yes, there are lots of neat things to see and experience here. I wouldn't call any of them rides, because they're all motion machines with movies, no roller coasters. But there are a lot of neat attractions, if only I could have enjoyed them, without the awful employees. This park really needs to train their employees in customer service, because I don't think that it is a priority at this point. I ended up leaving early with a strong feeling that this park does not care about their customers at all.

Havent been there in 11 years and going back was the best thing ever! Key note is to stay hydrated cause its suuuuuper hot during the day. and also when its super hot go see the Waterworld show and get wet:) or go and find the water that shoots out of the ground. thats fun and refreshing. they also have a different water attraction for kids but i cant remember what its called. but all in all had a blast and everyone should go here!

i went to universal like on January 16th of 2015. i disagree with a lot of the comments. The park was really clean. the thing i hated was i went there for my son who's 2.5 years old and knew they had enough rides for kids but i haven't been there for years. and well no rides for him so we couldn't get on anything except the shows and the tour ride. and his little minion little bug ride and a park which had 2 slides which r at any real park park for free.. and the food is more expensive than Disney. i use to work at downtown Disney. and my sons mom has a annual pass every year there.. much more cheaper food and more kid friendly.. but i hate Disneyland its always crowded. so i love universals rides but not for kids under 40inches.. everything is 40inches or taller to ride. and 40inches is like 3.33 feet. and food was expensive and big lines cuz not many food areas in the park unlike Disney which has tons of food spots.. so i asked for the pass to tale my son and sons mom but me and her wont go just us. So got to find someone else to go with now..

Although, some of the rides are shorter than I would like, the cost is lower than Disneyland, they are upfront about any maintenance, and the lines are more reasonable. In addition, there is an excellent strip of shops just outside the park, which is worth spending a couple of hours looking through. However, the construction caused the pathways to be a little congested, and there aren't as many rides for small children. Still, once the new attractions are completed (Harry Potter, Simpsons, and Fast & Furious) it will undoubtedly be even more fantastic! The best times to come are in the morning, and in the evening. One of the greatest things about Universal is that they use social media properly; they listen to your concerns and aim to improve their service (I haven't found Disney taking the time to respond to people's complaints one by one).

We took the VIP tour of Universal and it was great. As a small group, we were able to walk through the Parenthood TV set and take photos, as well as access some of the other areas of the backstage, which was pretty cool. The provided breakfast and lunch was amazing, plenty of variety and it all tasted great! The pass to the front of the line was excellent, we never had to wait, and we had the best seats in the shows! The park wasn't particularly busy, but it still suffered from being really small and crammed in. Additionally, the mammoth escalators in the middle of the park really caused it to be disjointed - we couldn't mix and match rides at the top and bottom of the hill without 5 minutes of slow escalator riding each way. The shows were interesting and there were a good selection of rides which were all fun. The VIP package was well worth it, for the backlot, lunch, and front-of-line passes, but the park was small enough that you only need a single day there.
