We had a lot of fun this week thanking our top-notch volunteers. They do so much for us every day that we can't possibly thank them in just 7 days. If you're one of our volunteers, know that we are so grateful for all that you do--and not just for one week in the year. #NVW2014 is coming to a close, but our thanks are a permanent fixture. Thank you, amazing, committed, talented and generous volunteers! http://ow.ly/vIDig

Our #volunteers are crucial to the planning and execution of our large fundraising events. They do everything from planning the intricate logistics to handing out t-shirts. It's volunteers like Mereb that are making it all come together. #NVW2014

"An unexpected benefit of volunteering with my workplace campaign was how it brought our team together – everyone shared a sense of pride knowing that we were helping a great cause."

Abbas Amarshi,

John Cruickshank probably doesn't need an introduction. As Publisher of the Toronto Star and President of Star Media Group, he knows a thing or two about our city. But he still sees his role as #UWT #volunteer as an important one. #NVW2014

"Volunteering with United Way adds a huge dimension about how I understand the city of Toronto and gets your mind whirling on what you can do."

Margaret Mead once said: "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.” Francesca Shaw and Godyne Sibay are #volunteers who are leading a group of committed women who are changing the face of philanthropy in #Toronto. Read their story and find out how. #NVW2014 http://ow.ly/vrELc
