Congrats all!
Team Partners at +UniFirst Corporation – Washington, D.C., recently saw three of their co-workers celebrate retirement! Hoang Tran worked over 20 years in the stockroom as a garment grader, heat sealer, and sewing machine operator; Tin Nguyen worked on the press floor for over 20 years; and Kim Tran worked 17 years in the stockroom as a heat sealer and sewing machine operator. Tin's husband, Tai Bui, is also a recent retiree from the same UniFirst location! Congratulations to all on a job well done.

A FOND FAREWELL IN PA: +UniFirst - Pittsburgh recently celebrated the retirement of production Team Partner Greg Hamilton after 22 years of outstanding service. During his time at +UniFirst Corporation, Greg worked in all areas on the production floor and garnered a reputation as a loyal and dedicated employee whose honesty and integrity set a fine example for the entire location. Greg will certainly be missed by his fellow Team Partners. We wish him well in his retirement.

ROBOTICS SPONSORSHIP – UniFirst Corporate recently sponsored the North Andover High School robotics team that competed in the VEX Robotics Competition in Louisville, KY – the world’s largest educational robotics competition. Teams of students are tasked with designing and building a robot to compete against other teams from around the world in a game-based engineering challenge. The Massachusetts team placed 40th out of 90 schools in their division. Congratulations!

CPR CERTIFIED – Managers at +UniFirst Corporation  Fort Smith, AR, recently attended CPR training taught by Shelly Scott of Green Guard, a UniFirst subsidiary. In addition to offering a wide variety of first aid and safety products for businesses, Green Guard also offers on-site training sessions to help people save lives.

GOING PLATINUM – +UniFirst Corporation  – Springfield, MO, recently received the Platinum Award from the Missouri Water Environment Association (MWEA) for five consecutive years of 100% compliance of its wastewater systems with all pollutant limitations, as well as permit and reporting requirements. This year, only two companies achieved this status. The MWEA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of water quality and water resources.

CANADA’S ULTIMATE HOCKEY FAMILY – Tim Sullivan, general manger – product operations – at ‎UniFirst‬ Canada LTD, and his family recently had a once-in-a-lifetime experience when they were selected as the Dodge Canada Ultimate Hockey Family through FCA Canada and Rogers Hometown Hockey. Tim has been with UniFirst since 1988. He and his wife, Linda, have four children and seven grandchildren.

Tim’s son David submitted the winning entry and a photo of the 30th Sullivan Family Skate, at which more than 70 family members participated. The Sullivan family was selected from over 1,500 entries.
